The Collide

"Dr. warren hi I'm so sorry" Miranda said as she back up creating space in between them.

"Ben is fine Dr. bailey since we are not at work and I'm not your boss right now you can call me Ben and like I said it is okay" Ben said while giving her a smile.

"Miranda"

"Huh" ben said with a confused expression oh his face.

"Well if I am going to call you Ben its only right if I allowed you to call me Miranda don't you think Ben". Miranda said with a flirtatious smile on her face. Ben couldn't help but smile harder as he nodded with agreement. " Miranda huh I like that " Ben said while looking into Miranda eyes smiling down at her. They just stayed there smiling at one another until Ben asked if Miranda would like to join him for lunch.

" I would love to" Miranda said while walking with Ben into the food court. They make their way to a table that's all the way in the back corner. Ben looks over to Miranda and can't help but smile at her beauty he was so excited to be finally seeing her outside of the hospital where he wasn't her boss and they could just be Ben and Miranda not Dr. Warren or Dr. Bailey it was so refreshing.

BEN'S POV

We make it to the table I tell Miranda to go in head and go get her food and that I will watch over her purse and table while she is gone . She walks away he can't help, but follow her with his eyes and bite down on his bottom lip she was so gorgeous from head to toe plus the way those jeans hugged her curves made him lick his lips as her hips swayed from left to right . Miranda and him have been working together for 5 weeks now and he has been loving every bit of it . Seeing her everyday was one of the reasons he loved coming into work everyday listening to her talk and seeing her smile never failed to brighten his day up. Ben knew that being her boss complicated so much but he could never seem to get her out of his head. Even though they have only known each other for a little while and don't really know anything about each other Benjamin Warren knew one thing and that was he was crushing hard on Miranda Bailey and wanted nothing more than to take her out on a proper date.

Miranda returned to the table with her food and before she could sit down Ben had got up to pull out her chair like a gentlemen and walked to get his food. All Miranda could do was smile from ear to ear she has never had her chair pulled out for her even though Tucker was sweet to her he never did chivalrous things like this. The way Ben made me feel scared me to death, because we have only known each other less than 6 weeks and to top it off he was my boss. Each time are eyes would connect it was like a bolt of electricity passing through my body enough power to light up a whole city.

The more and more we spent time with each other the more and more my attraction for him grew. I Cannot fall for my attending its something I will not do I can't do especially with everything going on in my life right now Miranda's thoughts were interrupted when ben had sat across from her with his food on a tray.

"Miranda Bailey were you waiting for me to eat your food " Ben said wearing a huge smile.

"No actually if you must know I was just lost in thought that is all" Miranda replied with a sassy attitude and with a small grin which made Ben look up at her and chuckle.

" Since I already know that you are in denial how about you tell me somethings I don't already know" Ben said as he took a bite of his pizza while grinning at her reaction from his slide comment in the beginning of his statement.

Rolling her eyes at Him Miranda smiled and began to tell him about her self. I'm 25 years old I am an only child, but I have so many cousins its crazy I'm a movie and popcorn kind of girl other than going to clubs kind of girl. After my medical school graduation I moved here with my My fiancé of 9 years but was my boyfriend at the time at the age of 20. Ben's heart dropped when he heard her say fiancé he was stupid to think someone as beautiful as Miranda would be single ben was brought out of his thoughts when he hears her say, But three months ago I broke off the engagement.

"I'm so sorry to hear that Miranda" Ben said lying straight through his teeth he was so relieved to hear that she was available and that he had a chance.

"Don't Be it was the right decision even though I loved him I knew where I was going and where I was heading , and he never did understand my passion and drive for my career and he was never going to understand that so I knew that I had to let him go but I want nothing but happiness for him I want him to find someone who will make him truly happy and him to make her extremely happy as well. I just knew that I wasn't going to be the one to do that.

As Miranda continued to share things about herself Ben couldn't help but just stare at her and take in all of her beauty and maybe dig up some courage to ask Miranda out on a date. Once Miranda finished talking Ben swallowed all his fear and asked. " Miranda I would love to take you out on a Proper date what do you say" Miranda's heart raced as the words left his mouth she wanted nothing more than for him to take her out on a date but what was she going to do she just called off her engagement three months ago and he was her boss which would really complicate things also the fact that being pregnant with Tucker's baby could put a big damper on the situation as well making it even more difficult.

"Miranda" ? Ben said looking so nervous from asking the question. "Huh" Miranda said bouncing back from her thoughts. She looked at Ben and said I would love for you to take me out on a date, but here's the thing I just got out of a very serious relationship three months ago and to top it off I just recently found out that I was pregnant with my ex's baby which I'm still trying to process it all now and I haven't even got around to telling him. Also you are my boss which sucks because you can make it really hard to concentrate be you are so well you know you. Ben smiled at her frustration.

So when I tell you I would love nothing more than to go on a date with you I really do mean it but it also wouldn't be fair to you if I got you involved with all my craziness because I like you a lot but I just don't want to ruin what we have now with my complicated life at the moment.

Just when Ben was gonna say something a Man approached the table and said.

" Your Pregnant"! the man shouted Miranda quickly turned her head to see the man standing before her she couldn't move or say anything at all. All she could do was just look a the man Ben looked at Miranda and back at the man standing before them." Miranda are you ok who is this man Miranda" Ben asked trying to get my attention before I could say anything the man opened his mouth and said.

" Not that it concerns you at all but I'm"

Miranda's ex's Fiancé and the father of the baby she is cooking inside her belly right now that she oh so forgot to inform me about maybe , because she was too busy shacking up with you.

"How Long Have you known Miranda" tucker said as he began to walk close to Miranda.

"Hey man I know you Upset but I'm going to need you to back up and give her some space she will answer you when she is ready to." Ben said holding his hand in front of Tucker preventing him to get any closer to me.
