Chapter 11- Jackson's Party Part 2

 Olivia's P.O.V

30 minutes earlier

I saw Jackson go upstairs. That was weird.

Anyways after he left, I got up and went to go talk to my friends from school. After we talked and laughed a bit, I went into the kitchen. I heard crying from the closet. I knocked on the door.

???: Go away!

I knocked again and opened it slowly.

When I opened it, I saw Alexis on the floor, crying.

Alexis: What do you want?!

Olivia: Are you ok?

Alexis: No!! I'm not ok. Henry just dumped me few minutes ago. He said he was just using me.

Tears slide down her cheeks.

I closed the door behind me and sat down. I saw she was wearing the dress I wanted.

Olivia: Alexis. Forget Henry. He's not worth it. He's just a player who uses girls. You can do so much better. And trust me I should know.

Alexis: You think so?

I shook my head.

Olivia: I know so. You're beautiful, funny, sweet and an amazing person. Well the old you anyways. 

Alexis: Yeah, well nobody liked her anyways.

Olivia: I did! She was my best friend and I miss her a ton.

Alexis signed and looked up at me and I looked back at her.

Alexis: Why are you being so nice to me after what went down between us? I've been nothing, but mean to you and yet here you are being nice.

Olivia: Well we go way back, you know. You're practically the second person I met after Lizzie. You always were there for me. I should've been there more for you no matter what happened between you and Lizzie. I'm sorry. 

Alexis: Right... if it wasn't for Lizzie. We would been friends still. She never liked me in the first place and I did nothing but try to be her friend.

Olivia: I know, Alexis. I'm was always hoping we could be best friends again. Like I said, I miss the old Lexi.

She stared at me, but not evil-like. She had a smile forming on her face.

Alexis: I love to be best friends again, Olivia.

She hugged me and I hugged her back.

Olivia: Come on. Let's get you fixed up.

We exit the closet. I grabbed her hand and we head upstairs.

I went into a room. I thought was free since the bathroom was occupied.

I saw two people making out on the bed. The boy had his shirt off and he was trying to unbuckle his pants. They quickly looked up at me.

Olivia: Jackson?

He quickly got up. I saw Lizzie sit up quickly.

Olivia: Lizzie?!

I stared them. I couldn't believe my eyes. My eyes were getting teared up.

Jackson: Olivia! It's not what you think.

I stared at them and a tear slid down on my face. I knew they weren't drunk. There was no explanation for what they were doing. They both lied right to my face. Lizzie told me no secrets and Jackson told me nothing was going on between them. I felt my heart broke into a millions pieces.

Lizzie quickly got up.

Lizzie: Olivia! I swear this isn't what it looks like! Um...um...um...-

Olivia: Um...um...um...? I thought we were best friends! What happen to no secrets?! Huh?!

Lizzie: Olivia, you are my best friend! I-

I cut her off.

Olivia: No your not!! You almost had sex with my boyfriend!! Well, ex now. Aren't you even a virgin?! Losing it to a boy you barely know!

Jackson: Actually, the night of Maxwell's party, we did it...

He said scratching his neck nervously. My eyes widen in shock. Oh my god, so they've been secretly dating behind my back!! I think I'm gonna be sick.

Lizzie: Jackson!!!

Olivia: Oh my god!!!! I can't believe this! Both of you stay away from me.

More tears slide down my face.

Jackson: Olivia!

I ran down the stairs.

I bumped into someone. It was Chase.

Chase: Olivia? Whoa! What's wrong?

Olivia: Take me home, Chase. Please.

Chase: Um...ok. let's go.

Alexis: Olivia!

I heard Alexis called.

Olivia: Yeah?

Alexis: Could you give me a lift also? I came with Henry...

Olivia: Sure, Alexis. You can come over. I could really use you right now.

We went into Chase car.

I couldn't help but start sobbing. I feel so stupid. I had a gut feeling that something was going on. The way they acted towards each other, when they look at one another. I'm so stupid. I actually thought Jackson would be different like any other guy. And don't get me started on my ex-best friend, who totally lied to my face. If she had feelings for Jackson, she could have come and talk to me about it. But no she decided to go behind my back and lie in my face. Alexis squeezed my shoulder.

I looked out the window in the passenger seat and as we were backing out in the driveway, I saw Lizzie. She looked at me. I looked away as we drove to my house.

I can't believe what happened.

That was something you call a best friend betrayal.
