Chapter 16

Olivia POV

The next day I woke up next to Chase. My head was on his chest and he had his arm around me.

He's eyes flickers and he yawned. I looked up at him and smiled. He opened his eyes and looked down at me. A smile spread across his face. 

Olivia: Morning, babe.

He said in a sexy morning voice. 

Chase: Morning. Last night was amazing. 

Olivia:  I agree.

I smiled. He returned one back. He got up and put on his boxers. He lean down to kiss me but I moved away.

Olivia: Not now. 

I giggled and he groaned.

Chase: So much for kissing you whenever I want.

He mumbled.

I kissed him on the cheek.

Olivia: Better?

Chase: Little bit.

He went to the bathroom. I got up and put on my robe. I opened the curtains. Outside was sorta a mess. There was no school today because of the hurricane last night.

I went downstairs to make breakfast. I took out a frying pan and I heard footsteps running down the stairs.

Chase: No, no, no, no, no.

Chase threw his shirt on and came running towards me quickly. He moved me away from the stove.

Olivia: What?

Chase: I'm not letting you cook.

Olivia: Oh come on, Chase.

Chase: Nope. I don't want you to burn down your house. You're terrible at cooking.

Olivia: Chase...

Chase: Nope. I love you. But I'm not ready to die.

Olivia: Fine. I give up.

I rolled my eyes. He kissed my cheek and put me down far away from the stove. I went upstairs. I went to the bathroom and got ready. I put on my clothes. (Top of the chapter. Without sunglasses)

I dried my hair. It came out wavy on the bottom.

I head downstairs. When I walked to the kitchen and saw plates with eggs and bacon.

My mouth started to get watery.

Then I realized that Chase was missing.

Olivia: Chasey?

Alexis: Hey girl!

Olivia: Alexis!!

I ran to her and hugged her tight.

Alexis: Livi, you just saw me yesterday.

Olivia: Yeah, but it felt like forever.

I saw Chase appear with his bag.

Olivia: Where are you going?

Chase: I have to go home and take care of things.  Alexis will be staying with you until your family comes back later.

Olivia: So you're leaving me?

I pouted and he put his bag down. He pulled me towards him and kissed the top of my head. I rested my head on his chest.

Chase: You know I'll come and visit...more often. 

Olivia: Wait, you know I could stay home by myself, right? You didn't have to watch me all week.

Alexis: Yeah, but not a whole week. You'll starve and think about cooking on your own food then burn down your house. You are so lazy to call for delivery. 

Olivia: I'm not that bad.

Both: Really?! Do we need to remind you about last year.  In cooking class.

They both said at the same time.

Olivia: Ok, ok, ok. I get it. I won't go near the kitchen.  Geez. 

I rolled my eyes.

Chase: I gotta go now.

I pouted again. He hugged me tight.

Chase: I will miss you.

Olivia: I will miss you more.

Alexis: Yeah, yeah You'll miss each. Boo who. Now get your ass out of here.  I want to spend time with my girl. We got a lot of catching up to do.

Chase: Ok, ok. I'm going.

He kissed me and left.

Olivia: Oh he forgot his bag.

Lizzie POV

Last night, Jackson broke up with me. I never been more heart-broken in my entire life. First I lose my best friend, next I lose the boy I really like for the first time.

I was sitting down on my chair swing on the porch and saw Chase come out. Maybe I can ask him for advice how to get my best friend back. I got up and ran towards him. He started his car and looked up. 

He rolled his eyes and groaned. I knew this wasn't going to be easy, the fact he's dating my ex-best friend now. but I have to try. Anything to get Olivia back.

Chase: Go away, Lizzie.

He got out and head back towards the house. 

Lizzie: But Chase-

I grabbed his arm and he stopped in front of her door. He pulled his arm away from my hold.

Chase: I said go away!

I tripped as I try to grab his arm again to stop. I fell on him and kissed him. He kissed back a little but quickly pulled away. What is wrong with me?! Oh my god! I just made things worse. 

I looked behind him and my eyes widen. He turned around and gasped. Olivia was stand right there. She throw his bag and slammed the door shut.

Chase: No wait!! Olivia!!!! Let me explain! It's not what you think! Open up! Please! Come on please!

She never opened.

Chase picked up his bag and walked past me.

Lizzie: Chase?

Chase: Things would be so much better if you weren't in our lives anymore.

He snapped at me. He threw his bag in the backseat and got in the car. He drove away.

I felt like I got punched in the stomach.

Tears start to stream down my cheeks.

I didn't mean to hurt them. I didn't even mean to kiss Chase. I would never do that to Olivia. Again. It was an accident.

I ran home and up to my room. I locked myself there all day. My parents try to talk to me. But I wouldn't open the door.

Everyone's lives would be better if I wasn't in it.
