Best Friends Forever

Chapter 18

Olivia POV

Oh my god!!! We were about at the mall for 6 hours.

6 HOURS!!

I got my hair done and got a few adorable outfits. When we got to the last store. Alexis screamed so loud.

I think she ruined my eardrum.

She quickly dragged me towards two fabulous outfits. One was blue and one was a peach color. We also saw this fabulous dress. When I tried to get it someone else grabbed it. Why is it that each time I reach for a dress someone else grabs it? I looked at the person. It was Lizzie. She was shocked to see us. She was a mess. She looked like a zombie. She must been crying. I wanted to ask what was wrong. But I stopped myself. Sometimes I'm just too nice.

Lizzie: Oh... um... you can take it if you want Olivia. I don't need it.

Olivia: No. It's fine. You can take it. 

I mumbled. I let go of the dress.

Lizzie: Oh ok...thanks.

I grabbed the two adorable outfits for Alexis and I. We were about to walk away when Lizzie called out.

Lizzie: I'm so sorry, Livi!!!! Please wait!!

I turned around seeing Lizzie crying.

Lizzie: Please. Can we talk for a second?

Olivia: Um. I don't think that's a good idea.

Lizzie: Please? After this I promise not to bother you again.

I looked at Alexis and she gave me a silent nod. I sighed.

Olivia: Um...fine. Alexis, do you mind if you find shoes without me.

Alexis: Sure.

I walked with Lizzie to the dressing room. She shut the door and I stood there staring at the ground.

Lizzie: Olivia... I never ever meant to hurt you. Not on purpose. This is about Jackson by the way. I didn't mean to let it go this far to betray you. It's just...that night at Maxwell's party. I felt something. My head was saying we should forget it about it but my heart said another.

I looked at her in the eyes and I can tell she means it.

Olivia: Lizzie, I don't care about that. That's not why I was hurt. You made me look like a fool. I always been there for you. If you felt something for Jackson, instead of going behind my back, how about you come and talk to me about it. 

Lizzie: I know. I should've. I regret it everyday. But I really thought you wouldn't understand. I was going to break it off.  But...

Olivia: But instead you hurt me. Lizzie, we been best friends since forever! How could you think I wouldn't understand? If I like a boy knowing you did too, I would've come and talk to you about! I wasn't that crazy about Jackson. If you talked to me I wouldn't ignore you.

Lizzie: But even if I did. Would you just let me have him? Just like that. Or would you be selfish and tell me that you been feeling for him first and you should have him. You want no secrets right? Ok. Wanna know something else too, I kissed Chase and I'm not talking about today. 

I stared at her in shocked. I can not believe she just said that. Aw hell no!

Olivia: How dare you say that?! Lizzie! I never loved Jackson! Jackson, was just someone I had liked!!! If you told me you were in love with him, I would let you have him!!!! I'm not selfish like you!! Maybe being a best friend you were would be smart enough to know that!!!!! I even care if you kissed Chase before we dated. But while we are, you have a lot of nerves showing your face around me!!!! I can't believe I was ever best friends with you!!  Do you know how many nights I cried, not because of Jackson but because of my bestest friend in the whole world, lied and betrayed me?!!! I really would like us to be best friends again like we use too. But after everything you just said and done. I could never be friends with you again!!! You lost my fucking trust!!! Just to be a favor and stay out of my life forever!!
