12:00 am

I look over at the clock, '12:00'. It's midnight and no sleep. It's not like it matters, it's not a rare occurrence. I pushed my hands to my face and let out a groan. I looked around my room. Then I remembered something. The time in the light realm and dark realm are opposites. So were Remus and Janus were it was noon. I looked around my room once again. But this time I was looking for something. I looked over to my bookshelf. There it was. A golden snake talisman. I got out of my bed and walked over to the talisman. Janus gave it to me if I ever needed to talk about something. The talisman was shaped like a shield. In the center of the talisman was a snakehead with its jaws outstretched. I held the golden talisman in my left hand and rubbed the smooth back of it with my index finger. I walked over to the center of my room and sat down with my legs crossed. I placed the talisman on the floor in front of me and pressed the center. It glowed for a couple seconds... No answer. of course. .. he hasn't been responding lately. I wonder why... It's fine.

~Timeskip-1 hour~

I've been reading something that Logan recommended, it's not half bad actually.

I look over at my window, still black outside.

I close my book and place it on my nightstand.

I sat up and realized my throat was super dry. I quietly opened my door.

I walked into the hall and looked over at the control room.

There was some noise emanating from it. The control room is so close to our doors so if any of us main traits are needed they can get there fast.

It was recommended my Logan, shocker

The dream traits were only active at night so I usually grab a snack for them when I'm in the kitchen. I walk down the long hallway and down the staircase, slightly increasing my pace.

I walk into the lunchroom and see Insomnia, nausea, and depression raiding the fridge again. "hey guys." I said as I grabbed a glass from the cupboard.

They all jumped from my sudden appearance. "JEEZ MAN YOU SCARED US." whisper yelled Insomnia.

"Quiet...Patton is a light sleeper. Even from this far away he would hear you." I whispered.

"Don't you have good hearing too?" Nausea asked quietly.

"All of the main traits do, it was kind of implanted in our system by Picani." I responded.

"ohhh" I heard Insomnia say.

I poured myself some water and took a sip. "Who put alcohol in the water dispenser?" I asked with a stern tone.

"Me..." I heard depression say, quieter than usual.

"Anyways, I'd love to stick around and chat but....." I slurred.

 "But what?" Insomnia asked.

"The dreams refuse to work if they're not fed. And they can't exactly go downstairs because Patton gets worried." I continued.

"Alright then." Insomnia responded while summoning some coffee.

I tuned out of the conversation between the three sides. I kept in mind that when the dreams are fed sweets they seem to be in a better mood, but if fed to much they get hyperimaginitive. (Hi-per-imagin-it-iv) and they spiral out of control, hence nightmares get summoned. So I grab some potato chips, Hersey bars, and skittles.

"Cya tomorrow," I said I walked out.

I heard them saying their goodbyes as I left.

I stopped at the bottom of the grand staircase.

Roman created the mind palace and Logan helped with the architecture, ending with I giant castle. The whole place was so grand.

So many of the traits that live in the light realm were a tight squeeze.

For example, Insomnia got along with Logan when there were long nights that needed to be done. I walked up the large golden staircase.

The castle was very large.

You don't fit he-I̵t̴'̷s̴f̵i̶n̷e̷

I made my way through the halls. I slid the food through a little slot in the door to the control room.

It was like that so if we had an urgent message whoever had the problem could just slide it through the door.

I walked slightly down the hall to my room.

I held the silver doorknob and opened the door.

The darkness of my room was disturbed by my window.

I closed my door, locked it, and walked over to my alarm clock.

The clock read "01134"??

What?

I rubbed my eyes and looked back at my clock.

"1:24" Maybe the alcohol was getting to me...I̶͈͊t̷̲̓'̷͇͋s̸̩̿f̶̝͊i̸̬͆n̶͙͗e̵̛.

To be continued.....
