After finishing the list, I spent some time on the gun range. Owen hadn't tried to contact me so I knew where we stood. We each had our jobs that opposed the other. I had to stop thinking of him as my boyfriend but as the target. It was easier said than done. The target sheets were torn to shreds as I let out my frustration.
Luckily, I wrapped up in time to catch Hobbs & Tej leaving. I raced to the showers to change & meet up with my parents at the auction. Brian & Dom were busy in their own worlds to notice me. When I came back, they were talking about the bullet & possible shops. I was prepared for a quick escape but got caught at the elevator.
"Where you going looking like that?" Dom asked
"When do you wear dresses or light colours?" Brian added as their jaws dropped

"Helping to get the cars. Please don't tell Tej." I sheepishly replied
"Sure. Just stay still." Brian smiled
"What?" I asked as he raised his phone
"Mia still isn't going to believe this." He laughed as I rolled my eyes
"Be safe." Dom reminded me
"Aren't I always." I winked before heading down
I took a government car & headed for the auction. I had arrived right as it was going to start. This meant that Hobbs & tej had scoped out some cars by now. A quick flash of my ID to the guards let pass through. I navigated the maze to find them. I found my answer as Norton was insulting them. They were so focused on each other that I slipped behind him & waited for the right moment.
"So, if you're not kitchen help then you must be in the wrong place." He cruelly continued before I tapped his shoulder
"Yes." He smiled before getting a loss for words
"Norton, it's been far too long." I smirked as I raised my head
Hobbs & Tej were shocked to say the least. Poor Tej dropped his drink. I loved my little surprise.
"Lady Cassandra. It is an honour to have you back." He stuttered
"Thank you for such a kind welcoming. One that I'm sure you gave my guests as well." I grinned
"Your guests?" He whimpered
"Of course. My goodness you look pale. You have been treating them with the utmost respect of course." I feigned concern
"Umm, why yes. Any guest of your illustrious family is welcome here." He stumbled
"Yes. Why don't you go check on the kitchen help. I'm sure they could use a hand." I cheekily dismissed him. He gulped before scurrying off.
"Lady who now?" Tej asked
"My um mum's family were awarded with noble status during the hundred's years war. We helped smuggle some very important items." I quickly explained
