"So, since the second semester is about to end, I'm going to give you a group assignment." The teacher uttered out as she looked through her papers.
Students already started to give each other looks to know who would be paired with who. The teacher noticed and let out a sigh.
"I never said you could choose your teammates. Everyone will just be working with their seatmates." Some students groaned in annoyance after learning they couldn't work with their friends. Jeno on the other hand didn't mind working with Jaemin, it wouldn't be the first time either, they had a few group projects to do together, but nothing as big as this.
"The project will just be about a moment of your choice in history in between the 1900s and the 1950s. You will have to explain what happened, how it changed the way we live today and why it's important. You'll also have to theoretically explain how you think life would be right now if this moment didn't happen. Everything will be in the paper I'm about to hand out to you." The teacher said as she passed around the paper.
Jaemin turned around to face Jeno.
"So Jeno, wanna go to my house to work on the project?" Jaemin asked, Jeno thought about it. He did want to hangout with Jaemin although it was for school purposes, but he actually promised to study biology with Jisung today.
Jaemin saw Jeno was hesitating so he tried to convince him. "Dad made chocolate cupcakes." He said, dragging out the last syllable to make it seem more appetizing.
Although Jeno's mouth started watering at the thought of cupcakes, he still didn't want to stand up Jisung. "I actually promised a friend to study together today."
Jaemin still held his ground. "And you'll get to see Minyeon." Jaemin raised his eyebrows at him and gave Jeno a wink.
At the thought of seeing his crush outside of school, Jeno wanted to agree immediately and jump over to Jaemin's house. But on second thoughts, he was still way too awkward to actually see his crush.
Jeno shook his head vigorously, refusing to embarrass himself when seeing her in a closer range than five metres.
"Don't be a loser, it's no big deal. It's just Minyeon." Jaemin tried.
"It's just Minyeon to you, not to me!" Jaemin sighed, they already had this conversation before and he wasn't prepared to have it another time. "Just come with me, it'll be okay. Just text your friend, you'll study another time."
Jeno didn't give in, but he didn't reject either. Jeno was the type of boy to do everything he was asked to, he would say of himself he was bad at saying no, but Donghyuck would tell him to 'fucking grow a backbone'.
"Alright then." Jeno said with an uncertain voice, his small bit of confidence he had left was completely crushed by the thought of meeting Minyeon, the thought of properly meeting Minyeon.
While Jeno had a mini mental breakdown over every scenario which could possibly happen, Jaemin cheered, maybe Minyeon would finally stop liking bad boys for once.

Jeno sat down on the chair next to Donghyuck as he threw his bag to the ground and sighed. Donghyuck already knew because of the way Jeno was plopping himself down on the chair that something was bothering him.
"Okay, you can talk. What's going on?" Donghyuck asked as he brought sushi to his mouth. Jeno looked at him and slammed his head on the table. Donghyuck rubbed his back, thinking it really was something bad.
"I'm freaking out," Jeno finally said. As he raised his head and combed through his hair with his fingers in frustration. It looked like he was about to cry, and knowing the boy was quite sensitive, Donghyuck wouldn't be surprised if he did any second.
