So hi, this is my book, and it's an omega verse. I have to say I'm planning for it to be one hell of an emotional ride so buckle the fuck in and yeah there will be swearing because I'm an adult and yeah.

So what is an Omega verse?

If you already know what this is, you can skip this

Omega verse is essentially an Au where people have two genders male, female (in mine non-binary and trans and whatever you identify as exists because honey I'm 23 and writing about gay guys getting pregnant. I don't judge you, do you). They are also spilt into secondary genders alpha beta and omega and out of these three secondary genders omegas and alphas can either be dominate or non-dominate.

So what do these terms mean

Alpha:
An alpha is a male, female, or whatever they identify as that is genetically superior to others. They are faster smarter have a keen sense of smell and are incredibly strong. They basically make up about 30% of the worlds' population. Furthermore, they are more likely to be star athletes' CEO businessmen at the top of their classes or generally in high ranking positions. A lot of alphas are arrogant and have huge egos, although there are some out there who are nice and calm there are none to dominate alphas, they are closer to betas rather than alphas. They are also less superior to dominant alphas and tend to back down from fights with dominate alphas, although they will not back down to any other secondary gender, all alphas will go into what is known as a rut. Where they become more aggressive in their pursuit to find a suitable mate to carry on their bloodline. Challenging an alpha in rut is seen as illegal and basically attempted suicide, as alphas tend to have a much lower inhibition and mainly act on instinct alone when in rut.

Betas:
Betas are your typical humans, there is nothing too special about them. They see themselves superior to omegas, just like alphas. They have a normal sense of smell, so they can't pick up on an omega or alphas scents. Likewise, they aren't swayed by pheromones that omegas release to attract a mate, they make up about 50% of the population.

Omegas:
Omegas are seen as the weakest secondary gender and will regularly go into what are called heats. Heats are a monthly thing that happens to omegas when they are in their prime time for breeding and impregnation. It is easier for alphas to get omegas pregnant, although betas can, as the chance of conception is much, much lower. They are quite sensitive creatures and rely on their scents to tell people how they are feeling, a lot of omegas tend to feel ashamed of themselves due to social stigma. Many omegas are born female but in rare cases they are born male omegas only make up about 20% of the population. Non-dominant omegas will only experience heat for 4 days, and they will be less intense and easier to manage. Many non-dominate omegas live as betas, since their pheromones are too weak to sway alphas into mailing with them.
