The next morning
Today I really couldn't be bothered searching for a nice outfit that matches and looks good. So I just wore the first things that my hand grabbed, which happens to be, black ripped jeans, a white crop top and an army print jacket. After slipping on some vans I look in the mirror, and this outfit looks pretty good. As I walk down stairs I get a message.
I'm taking u to campus today be ready in 10 - Jayden
I just type back an 'ok' and get something for breakfast. After breakfast my phone gets another message.
Hey princess I'm driving u to campus today ;) - Cole
Sorry Jayden is driving me today - Me
What did I say about Jayden! - Cole
To not hug him - Me
He sends another message but I ignore it. I get another message. Then another. And another. I swear to god if I get another message from him- Ding. Ughh. I grab my phone with a bunch of insults ready to use. Oh it's Jayden.
I'm here - Jayden
Already?! I run upstairs and grab my bag, then run back down. "Morning sweetheart." I look over and see my dad. "Hi dad, sorry have to go!" I say giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before running outside. Jayden is parked just in front of my door, thank god. "Why are you running??" He asks. I laugh as a meme pops into my head. "Didn't want to leave you waiting for too long." I reply.
"Okay." Responds Jayden. Ding. Ignoring my phone I put on my seatbelt and Jayden drives out the gate. Ding. "Are you going to get that?" Asks Jayden. "Nope." I say popping the 'p'. Ding. "You sure, it sounds important." He says. "It's just Cole." I say turning off my phone. Jayden frowns when I say that.
"I thought I told you to stay away from him." Says Jayden awkwardly. "I'd love to... But the thing is." I start. I tell him about the fake dating thing, his parents, and how it's just temporary. But I left the falling in love part out. "I just don't want to see you get hurt, and I don't want him roping you into things." He says. "I can take care of myself, and what things?" I ask.
"Don't worry about it. He can tell you himself. Or you'll find out anyways." He says sharply. "I know you're just looking out for me. Thank you for that, really. I promise if he tries to pressure me into something, or even hints for me to do something I know is wrong, you'll be the first to know." I say wanting to remove the bad vibes.
"Thank you." He says pulling into the parking lot. "Meet me here after practice?" He asks. "Yeah." I say smiling. He walks off towards the football field and I walk towards the main entrance. Guess who I see there... You guessed it. Cole, an angry Cole. No a furious Cole. I want to laugh but I don't want to piss him off more.
"Why the fuck are you ignoring my calls and text?!" He questions loudly. I walk passed him knowing he would follow me. "Carly!" He almost shouts. "Cole." I say calmly. "Stop fucking ignoring me!" He says aggravated. "I'm not ignoring you." I giggle. "What's so funny?!" He says clearly annoyed. I'm honestly enjoying this. Seeing him stressed out... and jealous.
"Did you do something with him?! Is that why your ignoring my calls and text?!" He shouts catching the attention of a few people walking passed. "Ew no-" I start, but he pulls me into a small room. The janitors closet. "So what, you fucking him?!" He says shutting the door and facing me. "Ew no. Just no. Don't even go there. He's my bestfriend, I would never." I state disgustedly.
He steps forward putting two hands on either side of my head, forcing me to step back. "I can't stand the thought of you with some other guy, especially him!" He states. I can tell that's what he's thinking of, because the next thing I know he punches the wall right next to my head, I flinch a little. "I don't even want anyone else looking at you!" He says still mad.
