9. The Maldives

After about a 19 hour flight we arrive at the Maldives at 1pm. A while later we arrive at a resort. "Three Villas for Rane and Montgomary." Says Mary. "Three? Is someone getting divorced?!" Asks Cole confused. "Ha, no dear." Laughs Mary. "One for your father and I, one for Diane and David, then one for you and Carly." Explains Mary.

"One for me and Carly?" Questions Cole. "Yes." Says Mary. "And you trust us together?" Asks Cole. "Of course!" Exclaims Mary. "Who knows we might have a grandchild in nine months." She adds as she turns around to face the receptionist. "Why does everyone want us to have a baby. We haven't even been together for that long!" Says me and Cole. They just laugh.

"Plus we have a house to ourselves." Adds Cole. "Yeah that's good." I say smiling. "Just me and you." Whispers Cole in my ear before squeezing my butt. "Lovely. Thank you so much dear." Says Mary before walking back to us. "Here are your keys." Says Mary handing My mother and I a key.

A short boat ride later we arrive at the villas and we walk down the long wooden bridge. I look around and I'm amazed by the beautiful blue crystal clear water. Our villas are right down the end of the bridge. Cole's and I are on the right and our parents are right next to each other on the left. We split off and Cole and I walk up to our villa.

We open the door and see the most beautiful Woden villa ever. We walk in and it's a big room. The room we walked into is the living room. There are two wooden doors, one on the left and the other on the right. There's big glass windows with a glass door in the middle. Outside looks like a patio, we'll check that out later.

There's a big flat screen TV in the living room that catches my eye. Near the door is a kitchen. Cole and I go to the right and open up the door. It's a bathroom. On the right is a toilet and on the middle is a long two bench with two sinks and a long mirror above it. On the left is a huge glass wall and a spa against it, next to the spa is a shower. "I hope that's not see through." I say gesturing to the glass wall. "We'll have a look soon." Says Cole.

We walk out and to the other door, we open it and it's the bedroom. In the centre is a double bed with two bedside tables with lamps on each side. On the left is a walk in closet and in the right is another glass door. Cole and I put our bags on the bed, then we go out the glass door. In front of us is a round couch with cushions. To the right are some chairs around a fireplace, in front of that are steps going down to a little deck with a couple of chairs.

On the other side of the fireplace is a pool! An actual pool with beautiful blue water. Above that are two poolside chaise lounges and next to those are two outdoor showers. Next to the showers is a mirror. "That must be the glass bathroom wall." I say walking over to it. I cup my hands and press them on the glass and lean into them. I try to see if I can see inside but I can't. "That's good, I can't see inside." I say pulling away from it.

"This place is amazing." Says Cole. "Yes. It's so beautiful." I say still looking around at everything. Soon we hear a knock on the door. Cole and I go inside and to the door. We open it to reveal our parents. "Let's go get something for lunch." Says my mother. Cole and I nod and walk out closing the door behind us. "Here you have pockets you can hold this." Says Cole handing me the keys.

There's an extremely large villa in the centre of the the villas on the left side. It's where all the food is. You go there to eat. The have eating times. Breakfast from 6-10am. Lunch from 12-3pm. Dinner from 6-9pm. The times are so big because there's a lot to do around here and people of all ages eat, wake and sleep at different times. You can also order room service which is good.

After lunch we all decided to just chill in our villas and get used to the time difference and we'll all just meet up tomorrow morning. Cole and I feel jet lagged and so we decide to just see what's on tv. I grab my blanket and Cole closes the blinds to darken the room. We cuddle up on the couch and spread the blanket over us. "They have Netflix!" Says Cole surprised. "Oh my god, no way!" I say looking up at the tv.
