6. Sleeping pills

It's been exactly a week since Cole and Chloe kissed. I broke up with him and beat the shit out of Chloe. Cole has been trying all week to 'explain' and make it up to me. I didn't give him a second of my time. He even had the audacity to come around to my house. He brought flowers though.

I have to admit all the things he was doing doing were cute, but I'm still mad at him. Right now I'm getting ready to go to another party. Because why not? It's been a really shitty week and I deserve to take my mind off of it. I honestly just want to get so drunk that I will pass out.

I'll be fine though. I'm going with Jayden and he said he'll look after me. He isn't drinking tonight, he's the sober designated driver. He also has a basketball game tomorrow and doesn't want to have a hangover. So I'll have a personal bodyguard to shield me from dickheads such as Cole or Chloe.

I just throw on a black bodycon dress with black air forces. I don't really bother much about my appearance. I just brush my hair and put on some mascara and lip gloss. That's good enough. I walk out of my room with nothing but the clothes I'm wearing. No phone and no jacket. I can't be bothered grabbing anything. I'll probably get too drunk and misplace them anyways.

I walk down the stairs and make my way towards the door. "Honey, are you okay?" Asks my mother. "Yes, I'm fine." I reply dryly. "Cole called." She says. "Good for him." I say sarcastically. "I'm worried about you." She says sincerely. "I'm fine, really. I haven't thought about Cole for about two days. And I'm going to have fun with my friends, I don't need Cole." I say shrugging.

"Oh and don't worry. Jayden is staying sober for his game, he'll look after me." I say reassuringly. "Okay good. I'm glad you're still friends with Jayden." She says. Suddenly I hear a car horn beep. "Well I'll see you later." I say giving her a quick hug. "Stay safe, love you." She says as I pull back. "Love you too." I say walking over to the door.

"Oh and if Cole calls, tell him I said 'fuck you and fuck off'." I say as I walk out the door. "Well don't you look gorgeous." Says Jayden as I get into the passenger side of his car. "Thank you." I say smiling. I put on my seatbelt and he drives off.

As we walk into the party I scan around for Kiara. She's nowhere to be found. She could be outside or maybe she isn't here yet. I don't have my phone so I can't call or message her. The first thing I do is go to the drink table. I grab the strongest thing I can find and pour it into a cup. I down the whole thing straight.

My throat burns as the liquid goes down. "Don't drink too much." Says Jayden standing beside me. "I'm here to drink too much. And you're here to make sure I don't do anything reckless." I say pinching his cheek like a little kid and he swats my hand away. I laugh and I fill up my cup again with the same drink and walk into the crowd with Jayden following behind me.

He's really going to stick with me all night. That's fine at least I know I won't be taken away by Cole and I love Jayden so I won't mind his company. "Have you seen Kiara?" I ask him. "No." He reply's. "Is she here?" I ask. "On her way, I'm pretty sure." He reply's.

Jaydens POV

It's been a couple of hours and Carly is wasted. "I love you Jayden!" She shouts as she slings her arms over my shoulders. "I think I'm going to pass out." She says just as her eyes close. I immediately wrap my arms around her back. She passes out and I bring her over to a nearby couch and lay her down.

Just have to let Kiara know that I'm taking Carly home so she doesn't stress looking for her. I scan my eyes around and spot Kiara sitting on Calebs lap in the next room. I walk over to them and they look up at me. "Is Carly okay?" Asks Kiara. "Yeah she just passed out so imma take her home." I say. "Okay where is she?" She asks. "Over there on that couch." I say pointing behind me.
