The Slytherin Seven became notorious around the school for their family-like bond, you'd never see one of them alone. Among the first-years, Blair Lexington and Draco Malfoy were considered Slytherin Royalty, they were hardly ever seen apart. They grew to be very good friends over the first few weeks of school, and led their friend group with ambition.

Life at Hogwarts was something Blair could get used to, it wasn't everyday she could spend pursuing her gifts. She quickly climbed the class ranks, and was one of the brightest witches in her year, just like she planned.

"Hermione Granger is an absolute suck up. That mud-blood is right above me in class ranks only because she's a Gryffindor and Dumbledore has some sort of infatuation with them. I wouldn't be surprised if all Gryffindor's get some sort of special treatment."

"I couldn't agree more Blair, I got caught outside of the common room two nights ago and we lost 20 house points, and I've got detention with Filch for a week, but when the Golden Trio was caught out of bed in the third floor, they didn't get any punishment." Blaise Zabini replied to the girl and rolled his eyes, continuing to stuff his breakfast in his face.

"Just wait until we get to Quidditch class, I can't wait to see Potter fall flat on his arse." Draco mocked.

"Oh like you're any better than him Malfoy?" Blair replied.

"Of course, I've been playing quidditch since I was born. I could beat Harry Potter or anyone on the Gryffindor team in a heartbeat."

"Oh really? Don't let your ego get too big, it might kill you." She scoffed then laughed quietly.

"Think something's funny?"

"Just thinking about you falling off your broom."

"Like you wouldn't either."

"True."

The seven walked together after breakfast in the Great Hall to the quidditch field, Blair and Daphne linking arms, and laughing together about who's going to fail at class, and all the latest gossip.

"Did you hear what Fred and George did? Although they are Gryffindor's, they are awfully funny. They jinxed Snape's robe to turn bright pink, and he spent the entire lesson trying to take the pink out." The two girls started laughing with each other, tears falling, while the guys just looked at each other in confusion.

Arriving at the field, students from all four houses were in two lines, with the standard school brooms to the right of their shoes.

A spiky, silver haired professor named Madam Hooch, strolled into the field from one of the entrances. She instructed the class to lift their broom with the word "Up". Draco and Harry Potter were the first to lift their brooms, with Blair, Daphne, and Blaise close behind. Hermione was struggling, her know-it-all brain were good in the books, but was useless on the field. Brooms started to levitate with the next task, but slow brained Neville Longbottom decided to lose control and have himself caught on a flag pole.

He was sent to the hospital wing, leaving the first years alone.

Draco walked over to where Neville had fallen, and picked up a mysterious clear ball.

"Looks like Neville's lost his Remembrall. He won't be missing this." He started to toss it up and down.

Blair smirked at Draco and started to throw it between them.

"Give it here Malfoy."

We turned our heads to Potter and Blair threw the ball once more back to Draco.

"Come and get it." Draco grabbed his broom and started to fly up towards the sky. Although it was an awful idea that could get him expelled, he was actually good up in the air.

"Draco! Come on, there's a better option than this." Blair yelled to him. He didn't listen and kept going up.

"Harry, no way. You could get expelled." Hermione was clearly trying to keep Potter on the ground as Blair had tried with Malfoy, but to no avail, he also, flew upwards to Draco.

"What an idiot." Blair and Hermione simultaneously chorused. Draco ended up throwing the ball and came to the ground, like nothing happened, while Harry was chasing it and managed to catch it right in front of Professor McGonagall's office. Surely, he would be expelled, since she saw the whole event unfold in her eyes.

Almost on que, she came from the entrance to the field, and took Potter away.

Blair and Draco smiled and laughed with their friends, clearly confident Potter would be taken away.

Blair did feel a little bad. She knew it was wrong of Draco to take it in the first place, and Harry Potter had good intentions. But she pushed those guilty thoughts away and smiled weakly with her gleeful friends.

A/N - Thanks for all the input! If there are any suggestions, please comment them under this line. There will be no romance content until Year 3, because they are children as of now after all. I'm introducing characters and giving backstories in these first few chapters. I plan on skipping some of Year 2
