Xiaojun squints his eyes towards the horizon, the sun barely peeking over the ocean line. "Is it just me, or does the sun seem even redder today?"
YangYang, who was busy pulling weeds around his tomato plants, looks up. "I don't know," he shrugs. "I've been staring at these tomatoes for so long that everything looks redder to me." He sneers at the fruit in his hand and sticks his tongue out at it. "Tomatoes are gross anyway."
Xiaojun laughs quietly and turns back to the sun. "It definitely seems redder. What do you think is causing it?" He looks behind him when he hears Hendery coming over.
"Maybe you're going blind," Hendery suggests, walking past his boyfriend and towards the main house, Xifeng in his arms. "Anyways it's YangYang's turn to change the diaper so get to it, plant boy."
YangYang can be heard groaning as he takes the baby. "I hate you so much."
"Well I hate changing diapers and I did it last time so here you go."
"Bitch."
Xiaojun clicks his tongue. "No cursing with the kid around."
"She literally can't understand me." YangYang deadpans, but says nothing more and walks off to follow Hendery.
Xiaojun frowns and turns back to the sun. "It's definitely redder."

Mark frowned and watched as Jaemin exited Chenle's room, both their faces dark and grim.
"Well?" Mark speaks first, deciding to get it over with.
Jaemin sighs and shakes his head. "I wish I could have better news, but no. We'll need to stay here until he wakes up."
"Is he in a coma?"
The two boys begin to walk down the hall to the main room where they could smell Donghyuck cooking some bibimbap and egg. "No, he's been in and out of consciousness enough that I can get him to eat some crackers but he's not fully ready for travel yet."
"How long do you think?"
"Well," Jaemin starts, turning the corner and entering the kitchen. He takes a deep breath, almost drooling at the food on the table. "If things keep going at this pace, 6 more days...give or take."
"What happens if it gets worse?" Mark asks as he sits at the table. He mutters a small prayer and thanks Donghyuck for the food as Jaemin talks.
"Well, then I'd assume his brain would cease to function properly anymore. Resulting in, worst-case scenario, a brain dead Chenle. The best-case scenario is that he would have neurological hiccups, but with some help, he would get through life; albeit with difficulty."
Mark drops his chopsticks, the wood clattering against his plate and his face wide in shock. Jeno and Renjun, who had walked in at that moment, both froze in the doorway with surprise, neither knowing what to say. Both Donghyuck and Jaemin just kept eating.
"Don't worry, he's doing fine. That's unlikely to happen." Jaemin reassures. "This is delicious Hyuck."
"Oh thank you." Donghyuck smiles, ignoring the freaked-out looks from the other three.
"You two seem...oddly calm about this," Jeno says slowly and sits down after grabbing a bowl of food. "I mean, Jaemin I get 'cause he's trained to be calm when it comes at this stuff but Donghyuck..."
"Oh," Donghyuck chuckles softly. "I had a concussion a few months before The End, so I myself am still recovering from the aftereffects."
"Oh shit my bad."
Donghyuck shakes his head. "Don't worry about it, Jaemin has been monitoring me."
Jaemin nods in agreement. "I know a lot about neurological stuff, since that's what I mainly studied. Neuro-studies."
Mark, Jeno, and Renjun all just nod but say nothing more and continue to eat.
"Hey...where's Jisung?"
All eyes turn to Jaemin, who takes a second to think.
"Oh fuck."
