My Once In A Lifetime

Part 3

Yaku, Eli, and Akira were all sat in their usual spot library. They were discussing anything and everything. This was the usual routine of the trio. Though, this time it was different.

The trio was waiting for their fourth member to complete the squad. Due to everything he did for school he was a little late than initially planned. He warned the trio of his lateness so Akira and Yaku weren't worried. Eli on the other hand was.

Daichi walked through the cafe doors with his school bag draped over his shoulder. He was soon waved over to the group by a certain blue eyed teenager (Akira is literally blue eyed teenager here) notifying Daichi were he needed to sit. Right beside Eli.

"Sorry I'm so late. I honestly thought I would have gotten out earlier than this," Daichi said with a sigh. He looked over to his side to see Eli waving his arms into an almost panicked way.

"No- No- it's alright. We understand you had things to do so we are just glad you could make it to hang out with us!" Eli spoke with excitement in his voice.

Akira began to laugh out, "No you- you are just a si-" but was interrupted by someones hand clasping over their mouth and makes a mental note to yell at Yaku later.

Eli sat there in a state of shock. He had no clue what to say but knew what was going to be. His face began to burn and show a pink tint. "A-Akira!" he exclaimed. He was not ready for how this day would go.

In the middle of the hang out Yaku leaned over whispering something in Akria's ear making their eyes widened and slowly close. They stood up and left with little to no explanation. Saying they had a project to do but Eli knew it was a lie since the two didn't have one class together.

Eli and Daichi sat in a comfortable silence drinking and snacking on what they ordered not too long ago. The silence though was interrupted when I certain captain began to speak. "Did you know my team has a game coming up? I know it is sudden even if you already knew about the game but would you be interested I'm watching it? I'm sorry if you can-"

"Of course!" Eli shouted cutting the taller man off. He slapped one of his hands over his mouth after realizing what he had done. "I'm so sorry- I didn't mean to- I mean it! It was an accident."

Daichi laughed it off. "It's ok really. No need to apologize. I'm glad you want to come so bad. Thank you. I can't wait to see you there."

Eli watches at the taller male begins to pack his things. "Are you leaving?" he asks with a sad tone mixed into his normally bright sounding voice

He received a nod. "Sadly I do. Sugawara messaged me about a upcoming project that is due tomorrow and we aren't even halfway through. I do wish I could stay but can't." He leans over and gives Eli a hug before speaking again "See you soon."

Eli watches sadly as his favorite volleyball captain walks away from the cafe and soon does the same himself. He was sad but happy for how the afternoon had gone so well.
