Doc ran off to help the woman that was screaming, her carriage out of control. Marty and Y/n were on the same horse, chasing after Doc. Doc was faster than Marty was and caught up with the woman.
"Here! Here!" Doc said to the woman. "Jump!" he said. The woman jumped onto Doc's horse, her carriage falling over the edge of the ravine.
"Oh my god! Marty that would have killed her." Y/n said, her arms tight around Marty's waist.
"Oh, thank you, sir. You saved my life.." she trailed off. Doc looked at her and they both looked at eachother the way Y/n and Marty did the first time they saw eachother.
"Do you see what I see?" Marty asked Y/n. "Yup," Y/n said.
"Emmet Brown, at your service, Miss-" Doc said. "Uh-um-Clayton. Clara Clayton." Clara said, in awe of the man in front of her.
"Marty, that's Clara!" Y/n whispered. Marty took the polaroid photo out of his pocket and looked at it, Y/n peeking behind his shoulder.
"What a beautiful name," Doc said in awe.
Marty, Y/n, and Doc helped load Clara's belongings onto one of her horses. They then took her to her new house, right next to the school. "May I help you inside with these?" Doc said to Clara. "Oh, no. That won't be necessary. I can take care of it. You've done more than enough already." Clara said.
Marty carried the last of her bags to the door and went back to Y/n. She looked at him a smirked, "Man, has he got it bad!" she said giggling. Marty smile-smirked at her and pulled her close to him, "Yeah, he does, but I know how he feels.." he trailed off leaning in to kiss her.
He pulled away and said, "You look beautiful in that dress by the way," he said smiling. Y/n playfully rolled her eyes and said, "I may look good, but this corset is way to tight!" Marty laughed and then noticed that Doc and Clara were still talking.
"Hey, Doc. We gotta get going. Ma'am, good luck with your schoolteachin' and everything." Marty said, helping Y/n onto their horse.
"Clara, I'll straighten everything out with Mr. Statler for the buckboard rental. Don't you worry about that? I feel somewhat responsible for what happened." Doc said.
"Well, that would be very gentlemanly of you, Mr.Brown-Uh, Emmett. You know, I'm almost glad that snake spooked those horses. Otherwise, we might never have met. Suppose it was destiny. Well, thank you for everything." Clara said. "You're quite welcome," Doc said, turning around and getting on his horse.
"I will see you again, won't I?" Clara asked. "Of course. You'll see lots of me I'm sure. I have a shop in town. I'm the local scientist-uh-um-blacksmith." Doc said, correcting himself.
"Science? What sort of science? Astronomy? Chemistry?" Clara asked intrigued.
"Actually, I'm a student of all sciences." Doc trailed off. Y/n rolled her eyes and said, "Hey, Uncle Doc, we gotta get goin'"
"Oh, yes. Well-excuse us, Clara. We have to get going." Doc said, still lovestruck.
Then Marty, Y/n, and Doc rode away. "What you do mean, you're going to be seeing lots of her?" Marty asked, Y/n laying her head on his back, her corset really bothering her. "Well, I might see her again, just in passing," Doc said, smirking. Y/n giggled at her Uncle.
"Come on, Uncle Doc. Did you see that way she was looking at you?" Y/n asked her Uncle on their way back to town. "Yeah, that's the way Y/n looks at me," Marty said. Y/n blushed.
Doc laughed, "She did have quite a scare, right? After all, Miss Clayton almost ended up at the bottom of Clayton Ravine." Doc said, immediately stopping after he finished his thought.
"Uncle Doc, did you just say Clayton Ravine?" Y/n asked.
"Holy shit! Hey, Doc! Clayton Ravine was named after a teacher. They say she fell in there a hundred years ago." Marty said. "A hundred years ago? That's this year!" Doc realized.
"Every kid in school knows that story, even in 1955. We all have teachers we'd like to see fall into the ravine." Y/n said laughing.
"Strickland?" Marty asked her. "Oh most definitely," Y/n replied.
"Great Scott! Then she was supposed to go over in that wagon. And now I may have seriously altered history." Doc exclaimed. "Look Doc. What's the worst that can happen, huh? So they don't name the ravine after her." Marty said.
"Let's just get the Delorean ready and get out of here." Y/n spoke up.
"I wish I'd never invented that infernal time machine. It's caused nothing but disaster, besides saving Y/n." Doc said, riding away.
The three of them got back to Doc's shed and Y/n tired the best she could to help Doc with the time machine. "Ugh! I'm sorry Uncle Doc, but I can't move around in this dress. Is there any pair of overalls or something I could put on, please." Y/n almost begged.
"No Y/n, I'm sorry. If someone were to walk in and see you wearing pants it would be weird." Doc said.
"Yeah, I agree with Doc, doll. I mean last time you wore pants in this town, you almost died! I'm not taking that risk!" he said.
"Someone isn't going to try and hang me every time I wear pants, future boy." Y/n said crossing her arms and rolling her eyes. "They could.." Doc trailed off.
Y/n hearing this, walked away from the Delorean, "Fine. Then I guess I won't be much help." she said, sitting down on a chair, "God! I can't even sit down and be comfortable!" she said, standing back up, frustrated.
"You can help me fix the walkie-talkies," Marty said smile-smirking. Y/n smiled and said, "Fine."
