Mari sat on her balcony, picking flowers. She had some reeds from her mom, and was planning to make some flower crowns for herself and her friends. Humming a happy tune under her breath, she stood back to admire the plants. How is it that something so simple can create such a beautiful masterpiece? She was shaken out of her thoughts by a pair of lonely green eyes staring at her. She jumped back, startled. I'm the heat of the moment, she instinctively swung her hand out. And hit whoever was in the shadows.
"Ow!" She heard the person exclaim, and suddenly recognized the voice.
"Chat?"
"Yeah!"
"Number one; I'm sorry, that was an instinct. Number two, why were you spying on me?"
"Can't a cat admire his lovely princess?"
"Not like a stalker."
He snorted. "You're one to talk," he said.
I blushed deeply, as he had found my Adrien shrine a few days ago.
"Shut up," I muttered, embarrassed.
He laughed, but it was hollow. There wasn't any emotion behind the laugh. I felt a pang of wrongness. I loved his real laugh, not the fake one. I looked around, and saw one of my completed flower crowns. Grinning, I grabbed it off the edge of the table. I held it behind my back, still smiling.
"Close your eyes."
"Why?"
"Trust me."
I watched as he shut his eyes, and gently placed the flower crown in his head. Making my moves and voice over-exaggerated, I curtsied in front of him in my invisible skirt.
"A gift for my knight in shining leather," I joked, grinning. Chat smiled, and played along.
"Oh dear princess, I thank you for this gift of kindness. What can I do to repay this kind deed?" He said, bowing before me. Giggling, I replied with a little comment.
"Oh dear knight, just your presence is enough," I said, standing up straight.
Holding out his hand, her simply replied with, "A dance then, dear princess?"
"I would love to, my prince." I slapped my hand over my mouth the second the words left it. "I - uh, um -" I stuttered, seeing a hint of blush under Chats mask. He grinned at me, and I wasn't prepared for what he said next.
"My prince, huh? Maybe I should allow this forbidden romance to happen?"
My face flushed, and I decided to have my little revenge. I snatched his newly bestowed crown and dashed downstairs into my room, playing a game of cat and mouse. Chat ran around, and I laughed. Suddenly, he pounced on me, tickling me mercilessly.
I tricked to break free from his grip, but he was too strong. I stopped resisting and blushed at the position we were in. He had me pinned to the wall. He looked at my red face, and soon his face heated up as well.
I put the crown back on his head and pretty much threw him out of my room.
