Chapter One|Lurking.

The Principal's Office.

I shouldn't have gone there. You know the thing with me and premonitions, I never heed to them. First, it was the sickenly sweet smell, then the magohany furnitures then the hot-headed stepper that had his back against me. My fists clenched as I watched him from where I stood as he examined several stationaries on the Principal's table. He hadn't even thought of noticing my presence, and, that was fine. Maybe, if I felt like it, I could have turned around slowly and come back later in the day, like that was possible.

Sawyer was recognisable anywhere, giving that he had, in my bereft opinion, unusual hair; that is a wet-looking curly dirty blonde that he pulled up into a small bun with a few strands falling on his face here and there. I dropped my bag on the white couch, silently, and settled into it.

From then on, my despise for leather aggravated.

He looked back abruptly and without further reactions, he smiled. His smile was meaningful as usual etching the word 'stupid' in my head. It was hard to believe that I once fell for a guy like him.

Deep breaths Kent, it was a years ago.

I rolled my eyes and scoffed, it came voluntarily. That moment when you meet the inevitable. Deep down, my thoughts were spiralling. Sawyer could do shit to mess with me. It was his hobby. He loved the-so-called joy in others losing to him - miserably, at that. And I was meant to be morbidly scared because I had a shit load to lose to the fucker.

"Glad to see me, aren't you?" My voice dripped with sarcasm. A kind of sarcasm people considered as dark.

His smile widened and he bit his lower lip as if to consider something. That guy could give you a mental illness. "Let's see." A pause, "Did you come in laced underwears?"

He raised a brow at me whilst I rolled my eyes and looked away. Yup, I was done with that conversation. Besides the silver nose ring firmly fixed on the side of his nose wasn't something I liked to linger my eyes on.

It simply was too attractive.

The thing with Sawyer, I thought most people hadn't realised, was that the glint of mischievousness in his eyes weren't, per se, natural or rather meaningless. They were true, true to actions. His features could fool the world but trust me, that pert face could get disturbingly lethal. And I wasn't prepared for a tantrum like him.

Or maybe I would rather I choose the unexisting option K in my entrance test.

"Oh. Kelly. ..

Could life get any better than being in the same room as your father's ex and your very own lunatic of an ex boyfriend. Medea appeared from behind the neatly arranged bookshelf. Her composure was perfect and breath taking, I'm speaking in my father's words. The only thing I could register about her was; cherry lipstick and damn sexy.

"Kent," I corrected dryly. She was being dramatically nice to me again and I swear that I saw the whatever hanging at the back of her tongue. But then, I was Tienna's daughter.

"Sorry love," she started setting into her seat, right across Sawyer. He was uninterested though only trying his best to readjust his tie. "I had a bad day."

Could she get any worse, I almost saw the 'fuck your father' in her smile and Sawyer saw it too because he gave a casual smile. I groaned mentally. "Me too."

She simply returned my hard smile whilst putting on her glasses, then she turned to face Sawyer who infact was already sitting uprightly. Medea, sorry Miss Principal, entwined her fingers and placed them on the table. Her expression turned dry and it had scared shitless out of me. "I have nothing much to say Miller. The kids vote you out, you leave Sawyer. You leave."
