Ch. 17 Finals

~Y/n pov~

Finals were in a week so I was studying every night to try and strengthen my weaker subjects.

Tonight, me and Rio decided to study English together at the cafe.

She was better than me at English so it was more for me than for her but she said she was going to study with another group tomorrow.

Karma had tagged along too, but he wasn't actually doing any studying.

Perhaps he wanted to keep an eye on me?

"Karma are you going to study?" I asked.

He smirked , "Nope."

"At least think about it before answering!" I complained.

He pretended to think about it, "Nope."

Rio was studying with another group so I decided to go to the library.

I left without telling Karma where I was going, it's not like he was going to study anyway.

And besides, he'd probably get bored and start bugging me.

I was in the library, going over the English notes I had made yesterday.

I'm not sure how long I was there, but I was definitely there for a good few hours.

Glancing outside the window, it was pouring down outside.

How did I not notice? Was I that engaged in studying?

The library would close within an hour, but by then it would be dark and I don't want to walk home in the dark.

I packed my stuff and decided to just walk home despite the fact that it was raining.

If I was running, I'd run out of stamina and end up walking more than half of the way anyway.

The next morning, I woke up coughing and sneezing.

Guess, I'm ill.

That's what I get for not bringing an umbrella.

This sucks.

I didn't even feel like getting up to eat, I just stayed in bed and I guess I ended up falling asleep.

"Wake up dumbass." I was shook awake.

I cracked my eyes open to see mercury eyes staring down at me.

He frowned, "I was worried when you didn't come to school. You didn't message me either."

"Sorry. I haven't been feeling well." As soon as I finished my sentence I sneezed as if to prove my point.

Karma smiled, raking his fingers through my hair gently.

His calm face suddenly turned to worry, "Have you even eaten yet?"

"Huh?" My mind was still in a daze, "I haven't even gotten up."

The red head leaves the room and returns immediately handing me a glass of water.

"Wait here I'll go make something." He commanded.

"Ok?" I downed the water, it only dawned on me now how thirsty I was.

My throat felt super dry.

Ignoring what Karma had told me only second ago, I got up and headed to the bathroom.

I brushed my teeth and used the toilet, before gently combing through my hair, making myself look somewhat decent.

When I exited the bathroom, I almost ran into Karma, who was carrying a bowl of soup.

"Didn't I tell you to stay in bed?" Karma raised an eyebrow and placed the bowl on the windowsill.

I tried to take a step forward only to collapse.

Karma immediately caught me, it seems he saw this coming.

I felt myself be scooped up into his muscular arms, as he held me bridal style.

"What am I gonna do with you?" The mischievous boy chuckled, tucking me back into bed.

"Sorry." I muttered grabbing onto his shirt.

He removed my grip and placed his hand in mine, "It's fine."

Karma left to get the soup and came back.

I shuffled to a sitting up position and held my hands out to receive the bowl.

Hot soup trickled down my throat before I could register what had happened.

"H-hot." I complained.

Karma chuckled, "Oops sorry."

I would've told him I could feed myself, but I already knew he wouldn't listen.

Karma ended up skipping the school the next day to take care of me, I told him not to but he insisted.

I was back at school the next two days and before I knew it, finals had finally come.

I was told by the other that they had made some sort of deal with A-class.

This could go horribly wrong.

All I can do is have faith everyone studied effectively.

And so the tests began.

All the tests scores were given out and everyone did really well, we even managed to tie with A-class.

Karma however, didn't do well on his tests.

He didn't study, was he expecting perfect grades?

Koro-sensei teases his about it and he was pretty flustered.

Good news is we get to go on a trip to a resort.
