Adam POV:

I open the door to see Max standing there with his hands at his side and his eyes closed. I slowly walks towards him and then grab him in a giant bear hug.

"Max.." I whisper, tears falling from my eyes.

Max hugs me back and opens his eyes, which are filled with worry, regret, anger, and sadness. I hold Max and we eventually both collapse to the floor. Max soon falls asleep holding on to me like a little kid I stroke his hair and wonder what he's dreaming. I try to stay awake so I can be there when Max wakes up, but my eyes shut and I succomb to the dark nightmares I always have.

Max POV:

I wake up clutching something, I look over and see Adam. Memories of last night flood my brain and I start to cry again. I quietly get up and carefully pick up Adam, carrying him to my bed where he can sleep. I go into the bathroom and pick up the knife, tossing it in the trash and then I clean my small wound. Then I go into the kitchen and make breakfast for Adam and I.

After breakfast is made I go into my room to see Adam sitting up on the bed facing away from the door. I walk over to him and he quickly looks up with a look of pure horror on his face, then he relaxes.

"I...uh.. I made some breakfast for us." I say, feeling the awkwardness fill the air.

Adam looks straight at me, his eyes staring into my own. "Max..." He says, tears falling from his eyes. He gets up and pulls me into a hug. I hug back, not knowing what else to do.

"Why would you do this Max? Please, tell me why you would do this?" I feel tears fall from my own eyes.

"D- do what, Adam?" Adam pulls away from the hug and looks into my eyes again.

"Why would you send your name in? Why would you hire someone to kill you?" I freeze. How does he know about this? Has he been watching me?

"H-... How did you know that?" Adam turns away and mumbles something so low I almost couldn't hear him, almost.

"I was supposed to kill you..."
