Afterlife
The road that leads us out of here
Out of this misery, out of this sorrow
Will that be the road that takes us to the other side?
To a place filled with rainbows & daisies?
Will you be waiting for me on the other side?
Tell me, will you find me in the afterlife?
Note:
I had three pictures of Hailee Steinfeld (who inspired this poem) to post here. The other two photos, although they were in the same dress and of the same scene, were very polished and perfect. I chose the raw and spontaneous one.
It led me to have an epiphany. My poetry is similar to this picture, its raw & unpolished and straight from the heart.
