A/N: In my story, you have to be 12 years old to become a Pokemon trainer. Also, don't ask why Alex has red hair. I just felt like making it red.
Third person's P.O.V
Tomorrow, a pair of twins, Ash and Alexandra Ketchum, are going to get their first-ever Pokémon from Professor Oak.
A TV is on playing an incredible Pokemon battle between a Nidorino and a Gengar, with the crowd going wild.
The Announcer's voice narrates the battle, "And Nidorino begins the battle with a Horn Attack. OH, but Gengar bounces right back! And there it is, the Hypnosis power of Gengar! This could be the end for Nidorino. Wait! the trainer recalls Nidorino?! Which Pokemon will he use now? Oh, it's Onix!! Now, this giant Pokemon is on the attack, ho-ho but Gengar jumps aside!"
We zoom out to see a bedroom and a tanned skin spiky black-haired and brown-eyed twelve-year-old boy. He was wearing his pajamas; a green and yellow shirt and matching long pants with red flames at the end of the sleeves.
Ash Ketchum is a boy from Pallet Town.
"Now that I'm twelve, I can finally get my Pokemon license," Ash said.
Twelve- year olds can get a beginner Pokemon from Professor Oak, The town's Pokemon expert.
Ash grabs his Voltorb alarm clock and begins his pledge, "I will journey to gain the wisdom of Pokemon training, and I hereby declare to the Pokemon of the world, I will be a Pokemon Master. Pokemon Master! That is what I'll!"
He didn't finish as he heard a woman's voice call out from the doors to his room, "Ash go to bed."
In shock, Ash throws his alarm clock, which is caught by a woman with red hair and brown eyes, his mother Delia Ketchum. She opens the alarm clock to reveal the time. "It's eleven o'clock, and you should be asleep, " she stated.
Ash slumps into a big plush Snorlax. "But tomorrow I begin my Pokemon journey, I can't sleep, " Ash defends himself.
"So does Alexandra, but she's asleep, " His mother counters.
"Was asleep, " a new voice said. Entering the view of the bedroom door is a pale skin twelve-year-old girl with long red hair that messed up from sleeping and brown eyes. She wearing long-sleeved teal cotton pajamas.
This is Alexandra Ketchum who also goes by Alex. Ash's older twin sister by 6 minutes. She is a really kind and caring person. Who determined to achieve her dream but unlike her brother she, is not hotheaded. Another difference between her and her twin brother is that she doesn't want to be a Pokemon master she wants to be a member of the Elite four.
"Yell any LOUDER Ash then you will be heard on the side OTHER SIDE OF KANTO!" Alex yelled making Ash flinch a little.
Alex may not be hotheaded but she hates when her brother is so loud and disturbs her sleep.
"Heh heh... Sorry, sis, " he apologized sheepishly.
Their mother sighs, "Well Ash, if you can't sleep then you should at least get ready for tomorrow. Here, watch this, " she changes the channel to show a program hosted by Professor Oak himself.
"Good evening, Pallet. Tomorrow is the big day for the newest class of Pokemon students. I'd like to introduce you to Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Each one is available for new trainees. Which one shall you choose?"
"Go to bed when this is done, " Delia instructs him.
"Good night everyone, " Alex yawns her anger now gone and walks back to her room.
