Sammy's heart was beating so fast because she didn't think Joon had seen her. She slowly looks up to him and he wondered what he was doing there. He looks deep in her eyes and didn't let go. She just wanted to know why he was being that way with her. After all she had every right to be upset with him. He had to ignore her so it wouldn't be obvious that there was tension between them. He realized he made a big mistake and put their relationship in jeopardy. He didn't mean to go that far but he was jealous of Shownu. Joon explained to her that he's getting in the way and he doesn't like him being near her. She tried to understand where he was coming from. He didn't want to lose her but at the same time he had to be cold with her. Today was a stressful day for him because of his corporation. After the banquet hall, many business companies reached out to work with CBO. The problem was that the company they have been waiting to get an answer from to work with have not given them an answer. Mr. Kim purposely made the event to pressure them. Even after the event they didn't give them their final answer because they were still looking for a face to represent their company. Looks like it was taking longer then it should have. Mr. Kim didn't understand why they didn't just take the deal. Joon was stressed because they need an answer or else he would not be able to break off his marriage with Clarissa. Once they partnered up it would give him the chance to leave her and run away with Sammy. Clarissa's family business was already partnered with CBO. The reason they needed another business partnership was to make more money in case they went bankrupt.
Joon agreed to marry Clarissa because of that. He was already fueled by fire because of what happened at the banquet hall. It was stressful enough, but he had to put his personal feelings aside to make sure to do everything in his power to get that company to work with them. Sammy was in disbelief when he explained everything to her. She felt a little guilty for being angry with him. It still gave him no right to act the way he did. He almost fought Shownu in front of the world and then what? It would be embarrassing for her and his family to see the media's main headline be a housemaid secret romance with a married man known to be the son of the Citi Bank Organization founder. A scandal that big would ruin their reputation. Sammy didn't know what to say. The fact that the love of her life doesn't trust her makes her feel hurt. Trust is something they've always had no matter if they've fought before. At this point she doesn't even know what to think. Shownu was and will always be there for her, but that't all he is, a friend. Joon still didn't like the idea of him being around his love. It boiled his blood to think that he might lose her to him at any moment. Sammy felt bad because it felt like he was trying to make her end their friendship. Out of all the encounter's she's had with Clarissa she's never pressured him to hurry up and break their marriage. Yes she's had those days where she feels that she can't take it anymore and just wants to run away.
She felt no need to talk to him anymore and tried going back to her room without getting caught. He hugged her but she had a sad look in her eyes. She wished they never fought. He lifts her chin and kissed her forehead. He then let her go back to her room. Now she had to think hard and wondered what's coming next. She didn't want anymore problems but they just seem to keep coming. At least now she knows why he was giving her the cold shoulder.
