It took a lot longer than I expected to get to Australia, it was probably because I was so bored. I don't listen to music and I don't watch tv the only thing I do is write stories. But me being a complete idiot I forgot to bring my pen.
Finally after like forever I got off the plane yawning and stretching my legs. I scanned the crown of people waiting inside the airport to see if I could recognise my grandma. I couldn't. No one came rushing forward to collect me, slowly the crown dissipated and I was left alone. Panic hit me, I had a bad feeling that my mum was lying. There was no grandma in Australia she had just sent me here to survive on my own.
Crushed I fell to the floor shuddering with loneliness.
"What's wrong with you dear, I was only a bit late?" A soft British accent asked me.
I looked up and saw a kind looking old lady with the most beautiful caramel skin, I was envious. My skin was like that once, before the scars took over.
"Are...are you my grandma?" I managed to utter.
"Yes yes that's me, your mothers family wouldn't let me see you on account to my skin colour so I wouldn't expect you to know me"
"But our colours the same, my dads black. Beckys family know this"
"Do you really think they've accepted you dear? Now come on let's get you home"
I trailed behind her eyes on the floor not even taking in the wonders that must have been before me. Because my grandmas words raced through my mind even though the country was boiling my heart was as cold as ice.
When we were driving to my new home grandma Evelyn spoke up.
"You'll be starting the nearest high school tomorrow dear"
"Ugh so soon I won't know how to get there, I haven't even bought a car yet" I groaned thoroughly pissed off.
"Well I'm sorry about that dear we will get you a car soon, but for now my next door neighbour a lovely young boy called Calum Hood will drive you there, he's at the house waiting for you. He's very cool I think, very good looking an he's in a band to"
"Oh yay I will automatically fall in love with him, I bet his band is shit anyway" I knew I was being mean to a boy I didn't know but I wasn't happy.
"Now young lady don't swear in front of me I don't like it. Get out of the car and smile we are here now. Make sure you are civil"
I got out of the car ad looked up at the house, I say house when it was more like a fucking mansion I'm pretty sure there was even a pool at the back.
I was still admiring the house when this cute Asian looking boy With big brown eyes and hot tattoos ran up to me and hugged me.
"Oh my gosh you must be Amber, you are totally prettier than i expected. Not that I expected you to be ugly or anything but Erm you know, sorry I'm rambling I will stop now but like my names Calum"
I looked at him and just laughed, he looked like a little puppy dog all embarrassed and shy.
"I know who you are, your the dude who's gonna show me around right and by the way I think Evelyn has a big crush on you watch out"
"Who your grandma?!? I would totally smash it" he looked dead serious as well.
I started to walk away feeling a bit I dunno not all the way to jealousy but like hey he way hitting on my grandma and not me how sucky is that?
"I'm joking beautiful you gotta remember your the new catch in town"
I blushed and looked for grandma. She was at the window gesturing with her hand for me to fuck off, hmm nice right.
"So Calum Hood, what do you do for fun around here?"
"Well Miss(Insert Second Name) my band totally wants to meet you so of course we gotta go there"
I nodded confirmation and we headed to his car.
"Calum I gotta ask this, are you Asian?"
"No I'm fucking not get in the car, you're lucky you're beautiful you know cos you would not be allowed in this car"
"I'm far from beautiful but okay grumpy" I laughed and got in the car.
He frowned at my words but didn't comment.
The journey was quite Long but we filled it with easy chatter. Calum was actually really cool, he wasn't like anyone else I knew and he wasn't ashamed of who he was at all. Of course the bonus of him calling me hot all the time didn't hurt our flourishing friend ship.
"We're here babe" he grabbed me by the waist to pull me closer but I quickly stepped out of it. He looked hurt but I smiled and he shrugged out of it.
"So where exactly is here?" I wondered.
"My house you fool"
I raised my eyebrow at his imitation of a British accent but decided to let it go. Calum opened the door and I saw two boys waiting for us.
"Oh my geeerd you must be Amber, I'm Ashton the awesome and this is Micheal the mean, Luke the loser just went to make food so he will be here like literally any second. Hey you're really pretty you know" the cute boy with the wild brown curls and deep dimples grinned at me as I was overwhelmed.
The other boy with the bright red hair just stared at me smiling slightly. I didnt know what to do so I just smiled back.
"So where's this hot new chick everyone's yelling about"
And that's when I saw him.
So guys I dunno how to make this writing go bold so yeah that sucks. This chapter isn't very good but I had to introduce everything slowly. Hopefully it will get better.
