Chapter 6- Hello funfair!!
(Part 3 of date)
Noah got the proper address of the funfair and we were soon on our way. Noah was driving way to slowly compared to the speed that we took to reach the pizzeria. Not complaining though, my stomach was so full that I think even a little bit more speed or a few bumps would make me throw up.
"You alright there Davis?" Noah asked as he took a turn.
"Yeah, why?"
"Nothing." He mumbled. By any chance, was he worried about me. Was it clearly written on my face that I had eaten way beyond my capacity? Hopefully not. I was pretty sure that a little walk in the funfair would make me feel alright.
Soon I could see the ferris wheel and the other tall rides of the funfair and a tiny squeal left my lips unconsciously.
I heard Noah laugh at this.
"Hey!" I protested. "Don't laugh at my excitement. I just love funfairs, alright."
"Alright Davis. Although I was not teasing or anything. You are just like a little kid. It's cute." Noah said with a smile.
The butterflies that erupted in my stomach at that statement were indescribable. I've been called cute so many times but from him, it just felt so different. Even this thing was able to make me blush like a tomato.
Stop it butterflies! What are you going to do when someone proposes to me, open a whole zoo in my stomach.
We reached the funfair, parked Noah's car and then walked a bit around the funfair just looking around.
People laughing, kids running, people clicking pictures, sharing food. It was just so pleasing to be in such a happy environment.
"So what do you wanna do?" Noah asked me.
"Umm.." Sure I was excited to be here but now that he asked me this, I don't really know what I wanted to do. There were so many things to do here and we had so little time, I had to choose wisely.
"Carousel?" I asked. It was right in front of us.
"Sure then, let's go."
Noah went ahead and got us tickets. It was too crowded for us to both go to the ticket counter. Soon it was our turn and it felt so amazing. Noah was on the horse right next to me.
A prince charming on a white horse! Who doesn't want such a fairytale like thing to happen in real life.
His smile, his laugh, the way he unknowingly ran his hands through his hair, everything was breathtaking. But I just couldn't blatantly stare at him. I just had to steal glances to see these beautiful candids of him. Or just make small talk, that just gave me time to look at his gorgeous blue eyes. Even my eyes are really pretty, I have central heterochromia. The outer rim is grey and the central part is hazel. But his, they were so darn pretty and seriously blue. Almost sickeningly blue - full on Prince Charming, field of cornflower, perfect, cloudless sky blue. Someone should name a crayon after the guy's eyes.
The carousel stopped and Noah helped me get down saying that I'll probably fall down if he didn't help me.
He was most probably right. I can tell that from experience. Yes, I've fallen down while getting down from the carousel horses.
"What next? Bumper cars?" He asked. He was almost jumpy while asking this. He must love them.
See, we are both adults acting like kids at the funfair. And this is absolutely normal.
