Chapter 7- Hello parents!

"You sure you wanna do this?" I asked Noah one last time.

We were in his car, waiting outside my home. It was 7.30 pm right now. A little late for dinner but my parents wouldn't mind right now.

"Yeah, I'm sure Davis. I just think that if I had know before, I would have dressed more formally. " Noah said straightening his tshirt.

Wait a second.

"Noah, you do remember that all this is fake and it is completely fine if you act a little bad so that my parents don't really like you much and it wouldn't matter later when I tell them that we broke up." I said.

"I know, but do I really have to act bad? You could tell them that we ended on good terms. I don't really feel like making a bad impression. " Noah whined.

Yeah, his whining was not going to convince me. He has to act careless and immature and all the other stuff that parents usually hate in a life partner for their children. Or else they are just going to get enchanted by his good looks and behavior and never forget him and try to get me to marry him and then I'll be in a fix because that can't happen in real life. Ugh.

"You know what would be best? You not coming to meet them. I'll just make up some excuse. So you just leave me here and be on your way then." I said as I made my way out.

"Unless you want to go on blind dates set by your spy cousin, you better let me come when I'm willing to help." Noah reasoned.

Why is he right? Chloe is going to be here tonight as well and if Noah doesn't show up, then she's just going to make up reasons about how he's not good for me and try to fix me with someone else.

"Think fast Davis."

"Ok fine! Come on." I muttered. It's not that I would hate to have him over. It's just that I'm pretty sure everybody is going to love him and then it would be hard for them to accept that we broke up later.

"Wait a second. You don't even know anything about them and my parents knowing me would think that being the blabbermouth that I am would have told you everything about them. I'll just tell you about everyone in short. My Dad is a lawyer and my mom is an engineer but she didn't work after having me and my brother. My brothers name is Asher and he is crazy about sports and he is studying law. I'm an interior designer. By the way, what do you do for a living?"
I didn't even know that, great. What would I have answered if my parents had asked me this?

"Oh, um nothing great. I work in the H&C company." Noah replied.

"H&C? I did the interior designing of their branch at New York. That's where I was working for the last few months." I gushed.

"Nice. I work in the California branch only but I do know about the New York branch. It's new so everybody knows about it. There's still a lot of work left with it's set up so even here we are all working on that. And I'm pretty sure I'm making you bored with all this talk. I think we should just go inside." Noah said and I nodded.

Of course his talking didn't bore me. It's just that I might have not paid that much attention to his talking and would have just stared at his gorgeous face.

"Let's go."

We both walk up to the front door and I ring the bell.

"If they all seem a little weird, just please ignore them." I mumbled.

"Got it. " Noah replied with a laugh.

My mom opens the door and my entire family is standing over there to greet us. Great.
