"Oh um, we were actually gonna watch Infinity War. It's Luke's favorite. He believes Thanos was in the right or something and insists we watch it all the time."
"Why am I not surprised?" Percy asked, but Annabeth seemed to ignore it. He was furious with Luke. First this guy threatens Percy to stay away from Annabeth but it really did seem like Luke was the one trying to avoid her. "Well we don't care about Luke's favorite movie. What's yours?"
"No way I'm telling you. You're just gonna laugh at me."
"Well now I'm curious, Wise Girl. Just tell me"
"You have to swear you won't mock me," Annabeth said.
"I solemnly swear I will not laugh at you for your favorite movie," Percy said grinning.
"Legally Blonde."
"I thought it was going to be Barbie or something. Granted I've never seen it but it can't be that ridiculous."
"You've never seen Legally Blonde? That movie is iconic!"
"Do you wanna watch it?" Percy wasn't sure he would even like it but Annabeth had finally stopped crying so he figured this was a good route to follow."
"I mean I definitely wouldn't mind. Luke refuses to watch it with me."
Back to Luke again, he thought bitterly. "Enough about Luke. And Legally Blonde it is." He couldn't help but notice the smile forming on Annabeth's face. She looked really pretty when she was smiling. Wait. She's a friend! he scolded himself.
Halfway through the movie Percy realized he hadn't payed attention to anything. He tried to track his thoughts and came to the conclusion that he started thinking about Annabeth, again. He took a second to glance at her before looking back at the screen.
"Percy! Wake up right now!"
"Huh?" He opened eyes to see Annabeth standing above him with her hands on her hips.
"You fell asleep," she said grinning.
"Did I miss the movie?" He felt really bad. First Luke backs out last second then he falls asleep.
"Just the end. You drool in your sleep by the way."
Not only did he fall asleep, but he was also drooling. How lovely.
Annabeth grabbed her blanket. "I'm gonna go to bed. I already picked up the candy and popcorn so you should be able to go back to sleep." Despite her words she seemed to be really happy. "Thank you by the way. It means a lot that you stayed up with me."
"It was my pleasure." At that she went to her room and Percy went to his. He had to admit, he had a great time just sitting there with Annabeth. At least when he was awake.

The next few days went by really smoothly. Annabeth spent a lot of time doing schoolwork while Percy searched for jobs. As much as he loved sitting around the apartment, he needed money. He was about to give up when Rachel texted him.

R: Hey Perce!
P: Hey!
R: I was wondering if you wanted to hang out t
tomorrow and catch up? Lmk if you can!
P: Yeah, definitely. I'm down for whatever
R: Cant talk much right now but go over the
details later?
P: Sounds good to me
R: Kk cya then <3

The next morning he was getting ready when Annabeth knocked on his door. "Hey hey. I'm going shopping. I probably won't but anything but I'm tired of being cooped up in the apartment. Do you care to join?" She seemed to be in a really good mood.
"Oh I can't. I already made plans with Rachel. Maybe another time?"
"Oh," she seemed upset, which kind of shocked Percy, "yeah definitely. Have fun with Rachel."
She was gone before Percy got to say goodbye.
