True Friends

Akane woke up to find everything was pitch black...She called out to Len and Jack and grew worried because they didn't respond at all. She then sees a white door and runs for it...as she's running she realizes that the closer she gets the farther it seems...
Upon hearing a familiar lullaby her skin crawled up and grew pale..
As she turned to see who sung the cursed song...it was no other than her own mother...

Lisa-"My little red...come with mother..so you won't hurt anymore"

Akane didn't understand what she meant until she felt a great pain in her chest and fell to the floor gasping for air

Lisa-"I told you that boy will only bring you great pain and suffering...that's why I took care of him ..and everyone else so they won't hurt you anymore...*She smiled*

Akane struggled as she tried to understand what her mother meant..she saw a pool of blood 🩸 forming under her and looked up to see where the source was from...

Her face was in horror to see her friends and the people she cared about...all in a pile of death...with the river of crimson red flowing down as her mother sat above the heap of death grinning in satisfaction of her handy work...

*Akane woke up screaming and crying as Jack and Len came rushing in the room*

*Jack held her tightly stroking her head*
Jack-"Shhh shh princess...it was just a nightmare..it's okay...it wasn't real.."

*Len held her hand tightly and hugged her*
Len-"Were still here...as long as we're with you nothing like that will happen okay?"

*Akane was sobbing and sniffling as she nodded*

Jack-"Yes...your mother is alive..but you're not by yourself...she can't hurt you as long as Your dragon and Weapon are still alive..."

Len-"Besides...your dad is here now too and Kid ...promised to protect you"

*The rest of the night they stayed with their Meister, so she would get some sleep for the next school day*

*Len woke up and made some breakfast for all of them...Jack came in the kitchen and grabbed some coffee*

Len-"Is she still sleeping?"

Jack-"Yeah...Like a little baby" *he chuckles*

*Len smiles and then her expression changes as she looks at her meister sleeping with a concerned look*

Len-"She's starting to get those awful nightmares again..."

Jack-"I'm also worried...she tends to close off herself when this happens..

Len-"We'll do everything we can to protect her...Lisa will still mess with her dreams...but I know she's stronger than that...all that torture she went through..how does she still smile.."

Jack-"She smiles because we're with her...we make her feel safe and secure..both of you mean a lot to me..."

Len-"Yeah...*she wipes a tear from her face*...

*Jack walks to Len and hugs her placing a kiss on her forehead*

*Len blushes and looks away*

*Jack smiles and walks to Akane's room to wake her up*

*Jack knocks on her door and looks inside*
Jack-"Princess time to wake up."

*Akane Sleepily opened her eyes and gave a small yawn*
Akane-"Jack..Good morning"

*He smiled warmly*
Jack-"Morning Princess...how do you feel?"

Akane-"I feel better...I'm sorry for keeping you and Len all night.."*she tears up*

Jack-"Shh shh don't cry..it's okay we didn't mind at all..you should get dressed already to eat breakfast and head to school in a bit."

*She nods and wipes the tears off her face and smiles*

*Jack goes back to the kitchen and laughs a bit*

Len-"What's so funny?"

Jack-"I forgot she's like a child when she gets so emotional.."

Len-"Well she does put up the macho act all the time with everyone else..it's only understandable.."

*Jack nods*..."Yeah you're right*

Len-"You should eat now, I'm already done I'll go check on her"

Jack-"Okay"

*Len knocks on the door and waits*

Akane-"Come in!"

Len-"Hey...you okay?"

Akane-"Y-yeah...sorry about last night.."

Len-"It's okay...you know we're here for each other.."

Akane-"Mhm!" *smiles*

*Len can't help but laugh a little*

Akane-"What is it?"

Len-" Its nothing..I just enjoy your smile"

Akane-"Hehe..I have some tea 🍵 to tell you..*she blushes*

Len-"Must be good since you're blushing!"

Akane-"Stop it!! I'll just get embarrassed.."

Len-"So what is it spill it!"

Akane-"Well...last night..when I was talking to Kid..we kind of ...had a moment and..k-kissed.." *she looks away red in the face*

Len-"WHAT!"

Akane-"SHHH!! Don't yell so loud Jack will hear you!"

Len-"Oh! Right..😅

Akane-"S-so what do you think?"

Len-"Who about kid?"

Akane-"Y-yeah.."

Len-"Well..what can I say other than his obsession with Symmetry...and the guy shoots with his pinkies...and is the son of Lord Death...and way out of your league..."

Akane-"Geez...thanks..*she face palms*

Len-"B-But I mean that in a good way!!"

*Akane stares at Len as they fall back laughing together*

*Jack stands at the door way*

Jack-"And when was I going to get notified of the tea?"

*Akane turns red in the face and throws a pillow at Jack*

Akane-"MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!"

*Jack dodges the pillow and laughs*

Len-"Ooo you got caught..."

Akane-"WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON?"

Len-"Me..uh Pickles ...and you and Jack.."

*Akane and Jack fall jack laughing*

Jack-"Man you're so laid back Len you know that?"

Akane-"Of course she does"

Len-"Enough of me aren't we supposed to be in class already it's 7:55am.."

*Akane's eyes widen and they all rush out the door*

Akane-"Were so dead!!"

Jack-"Think if we fly it, we'll make it?!?"

Len-"Do you really think you'll be able to fly far enough in 5 minutes?!?

Akane-"Better to try than get scolded!!"
