CHAPTER 40: Moon and
Sunflowers
╚════✮❁.•°❀°•.❁✮════╝

(This scence happened 3 months after the PROLOUGE Part two)

"Sierrah..."

I heard a very familiar voice of a man. I try to concentrate and listen to his soothing voice while trying to open my eyes.

"Sierrah..."

I heard him again and I try harder to open my eyes now, but my eyelids are unexplainably heavy and I am also feeling so weak and tired like I don't have any strength or energy to do anything or even open my eyes.

"Sierrah..."

I need to see him. I need to open my eyes to see.

I said to myself with determination. And after a while of struggling and trying, I finally able to open my eyes.

The first thing that I saw is light. Too much light and everything is white and shining.

I blink and blink again, trying to adjust my vision. And when my eyes finally cope up with the brigthness of the surroundings.

I look at everywhere, scanning the whole place.

Where Am I?

I frown when I finally see the place where I'm in.

Is this... What they called heaven? Am I already dead?

"Mali ka, hindi kapa patay no." (You're wrong, you're not dead, yet.)

The familiar voice of a man said and I heard him chuckle.

I immediately look at the direction where the voice came and I see him. Standing besides me, smiling.

He eventually sits besides me in the bench where I didn't notice I'm also sitting.

Wait this bench is so familiar...

I frown while looking at the bench, trying my best to search in my memory where did I see this.

Then I finally notice my surroundings. It's not the same white place anymore.

But it is the same very familiar place where he and I had a lot of memories together.

Quezon City Memorial Circle

"Sobrang natutuwa akong makita ka sa eksaktong lugar na'to Sierrah..."
(I'm so happy to see you in this exact location, Sierrah)

I heard him said, and I automatically look up to him. My heart ache, tears fall from my eyes and I gulp. This is the place where we first had a date. The exact same bench we sitted before.

"Kit..."

I finally voice out the name of the man I loved for 8 years. The one and only, Engineer Kit Anthony Duque.
