After visiting Halime and her family in their tent, I went to in the meeting room where Baba had called me. Gundogdu Agabey was already waiting there. Both me and Agabey stood side by side in front of Baba, waiting for his decision.

"I have decided," Baba began. Both of us looked at him expectantly.

"That Ertugrul will do to Aleppo."
I raised my head sharply at this. I had expected Baba to tell Gundogdu Agabey to go, for he had brought up the idea of going to Aleppo and it was only fair.
Nevertheless, I was in shock and glanced at Gundogdu Agabey. He looked shook, and angry, just like I had expected him to be.
He began to walk out before Baba stopped him.

"Gundogdu! I have things to discuss with you. Stay here." he commanded.

He turned to me.

"Ertugrul get ready for your journey."

I placed my hand on my chest and slowly walked out of the marquee. I decided to wait for my brother to come out and ask him if he was angry with me.

After a while I saw Agabey exit the main marquee. He looked red faced and angry.
I walked up to him and tried to stop him.

"Agabey?" I tried to touch his arm.

"Get your hands off me!" he muttered aggressively. He was and looked furious. I stared at him as he opened the flap of his tent angrily and went inside. I decided to tell my alps we were going to Aleppo.

Inside the tent:
Selcan sat on the mat expectantly, waiting for her man to return, ideas stirring in her evil mind. She had done everything she could to try and make Gundogdu be the Successor of Kayi's and the next Bey. She had even tried to warn him about confirming to go to Aleppo, but he was way calmer than her in these matters.
Suddenly, Gundogdu entered the tent.

"What's wrong Gundogdu?"
Gundogdu didn't answer. Instead, he picked a table and smashed it against the wall of the tent in rage.

"Gundogdu! Somebody help, Hamza! Hamza!" Selcan was now frightened of her own husband.

"Get lost!" Gundogdu yelled at his alp and collapsed on the floor. He felt like banging his head on the table.

"What happened?"

"Ertugrul. Baba sent Ertugrul to Aleppo instead of me!" he whispered.

I walked outside the tent and breathed into the fresh air. I felt like running along the grass, smelling the earthy smell.
It was my dream to be free and living comfortably in a small house, away from the palace. Being born in the royal family was not a blessing for me. Me, Yigit and Baba had spent most of our time running away from Seljuk soldiers ever since Sultan Aladdin became the Sultan. I honestly did not get why he wanted us dead, I remembered him as a kind, caring man in my childhood.
It had been different when I was young and my mother was alive, I was free as a bird and away from responsibilities. It's not that I don't like my family, I love them more than everything and wouldn't give them up for anything, but I sometimes got tired of running away and wished I had a normal life. When Sultan Aladdin became the Sultan, suddenly his closest brother became his enemy. I guess that's what happens in politics and power, you end up killing your loved ones. I sometimes envied the ones who lived happily in their houses, and had content families.
I walked further near the marquee and spotted Ertugrul Bey packing his bags near his horse.
I sided to Ertugrul Bey near his horse.
He heard my footsteps and looked up. Seeing it was me, his face lit up in a smile.
I stroked his Horse Aktolgali while he saddled the mane.

"When are you leaving for Aleppo?" I asked him.

"Tommorow." he answered.

"Are you prepared?"

"The Alps Are prepared for everything."

"Correct."
Both of us were staring at one another.

"May the sun not burn your skin. May no rain make you cold. May no stone get in the way. Go like water and return like water to your tribe."

"My horse shall fly me to my destination and back." he replied to me.

I quickly slipped a stringed tassel into the bottom of his bag while he was not looking and walked away to check on Yigit.
