chapter 40

YUNA'S POV

we both entered his car as he drove me to where we we're gonna celebrate. i told chaewon to wait for me outside because i wasn't familiar to where it was.

"yuna," i hummed in response.

"i'll be leaving tonight at 11pm" i was frozen. i stared at him confused. "what? i thought you we're leaving next week?"

"i know but mom wanted me to come home earlier" i looked down. i tried not to show that i wasn't sad but i couldn't help it.

a hand suddenly intertwined mine. "don't worry i'll be back after a week, promise"

i looked at him and he glanced at me for a second. "you should've told me earlier so i could've cancelled everything to spend time with you"

"it's your graduation day silly. tell me, do you seriously wanna hear that at such a special day?" i was gonna speak but in the end i shook my head.

"see? and it's fine, you should spend time with your classmates." i pouted as i preferred to spend time with him more.

"don't pout babe, i may not resist myself and kiss you" i hit him.

"ya!" he laughed.

"kidding, kidding" he kissed the back of my hand which was still interlocked with his.

i didn't realize we we're already here. he parked the car and we both got off the car. there was a restaurant with lights and i saw chaewon standing there with her phone.

"ah yuna!" she towards me and gave me hug. i hugged her back and she waved at mark which he returned.

"are the others already there?" she nodded.

"we're waiting for a few more of my classmates so don't worry" i nodded.

"before you girls go in, chaewon can you look after yuna? i'll be leaving for l.a for a week and no one's gonna be with her at that time, please keep her company"

"of course!! have a safe trip-"

"yuna! glad you can make it" i turned around and saw aiden. he gave me a hug which surprised me but i returned it.

"oh i didn't saw you there hyung, sorry" mark just nodded which made the atmosphere kinda awkward.

"shall we go in?" chaewon asked breaking the silence.

i looked at mark who had a unreadable face. "babe, i'll be going now"

before i could've said anything else my other classmates went outside and dragged us three back inside. i looked back at mark who was standing there.

we reached the table where everyone was at. it was like divided to group of friends but most of my classmates and chaewon's was filling the room.

it was loud. very loud. i was sitting with chaewon, aiden, hyeri, minyoung, jaehyun, hyorin and some other guys from chaewon's class.

"what are we even gonna do here?" i felt kinda guilty for not saying a proper goodbye to mark.

"uh eat duh" hyeri chuckled. right of course. i haven't seen her for so long. last time i saw her was during the school foundation day. wonder what she's been up to.

"i think we're also going to play some games" hyunjin who was one of chaewon's classmates pointed to where the main mcs were at.

"how long is this going to take?"

"maybe till 11 i don't know" minyoung answered.

chaewon's classmates started whispering things to each other which resulted them to punch each other playfully.
