This story starts in season 13 when Ellie is going through her divorce with Jake. Tony, Abby, and Ducky are all still working at NCIS, and they still haven't heard anything about Ziva. Jack and Nick haven't joined the team yet, nor Reeeves but he will not be a main character in this story anyways.
