Ok so this theory is about Jack and how fast him and Petra become friends, so fricken fast. From what we know it was like 3 days and Jack has already invited Petra to go on a adventure with him Nurm and "Vos".
But I have a idea why he's so attached to Petra. So my fellow MCSM fans I think I know.
Ok so who here remembers Sammy? Ok let me remind you. Jack's dead friend. (Im so sorry Jack 😭)
So we never see what Sammy looks like. I mean sure there are some suggestions on what she looks like, and I'll say right now I think that all of these are really good. Here are some that I just love 😍

But I think Sammy had fair skin, orangey red hair and black eyes. Do you see where I'm going with this?

Normally when people lose someone close to them they do one of two things.
1. They hate any reminder of the person and will go into a fit of rage.
and
2. They cling to any reminder of the person because they can't except the fact that they are gone.
Now that last one reminds me of Jack.
Example? I got you covered.
The parrot in Jack and Nurm's place used to belong to Sammy.
And once he sees Sammy's inventory most people would look away and start to cry or maybe even scream. But when he sees it he walks over picks her stuff up and just holds it close.
So imagine Jack when he sees Petra. Petra reminds him of her so much that he gets attached. Example: When Jesse tells Jack and Petra that one of them needs to go get the clock and the other needs to help him. Jack and Petra look at each other and don't say anything. Now if Nurm was in Petra's place I would understand that, but Jack has only known Petra for a few days. And we all know that if any other person was in Petra's place he probably would not have looked so sad/upset.
And if you think about this it really is quite sad. On one hand Jack is trying to cope with the death of his friend and just wants a reminder of Sammy. But on the other hand Petra probably thinks that Jack likes hanging out with her because he likes her company.
