Hey! Weirdo-stranger here, just imagine this as a highschool au if you want. Just expect a lot of time skips if a line comes up. Since it's a story about an entire year.
My head canon: if there's humans, the countries would look like humans to a human's eyes but a county to a countryhuman's eyes.

Today... Is the first day...

Of school... Again...

The last year before they graduate...

Martial breaths in...

"ate!" Phil waves his hand in front of Martial's face trying to get her attention stretching out the 'e'. "aren't you excited for school! And probably meet new people who transferred?!" phil exclaimed. There was always people who are new to their class every year. Most of their classmates were just humans, not countries, but there are other sections that have them. They walked to their classroom and stopped by one of the door way surely, there was new students. Not a human, but counties. They were already talking to other people. Martial was surprised and so was phil "oh! They are a-!" Martial covered her brothers mouth "shush!" "oh, sorry heh heh. "They are twins, Mar! Like us! And besides-" Phil switch to a smug look "I already know one of them~" Phil left Martial and went to the county that looked all white except for the black lines and blue and red circle.

"hey southie~" phil said as he corners south who was already leaning against the wall talking to someone "hi Phil!" south smiles at him. The person who was talking to south earlier left them to do their own thing, wanting to leave the two alone.

__________________________(2 months)
As months went by, Phil spends his time with south and his other friends while martial is a loner and was more focused on school work and sometimes doodled on a piece of paper or put her head on her arm and look out of the window when she got bored.

Her seatmate was absent today so she didn't have anyone to talk to that much. So she just listened to what the teacher was saying but not looking at her.
She heard someone sit beside her but didn't think of it that much, since people sit on different seats when they can't see or hear that much. "hey." Martial turned from the window to look at who was talking to her, she replied with a hum. The guy sat next to her "can I borrow your pen?" "uh, sure?" she gave her extra but identical pen to him "can I sit here?" "sure, it's not like they're here anyways..." martial mumbled before looking back at the window listening to the teacher again "so, are you marshal?" "no, it's martial actually" "oh, well, my names North, North Korea" martial turns her head to north, martial also mispronounces his name, but a lot of times "no, you keep pronouncing it wrong" "can I call you northie then?" "ugh, fine" north crossed his arms and legs and then looking away from martial. Martial smiled and rolled her eyes and went back to looking outside the window.

"class dismissed"
Martial looked up and saw everyone leaving the classroom to go to the canteen. Martial got up and see that north wasn't there anymore. She shrugged and got out of the classroom to get some food.

She went back when the bell rang and sat on her seat while north went back to his. She didn't know why, but instead of looking through the window, she keeps sneaking a glance of north the whole class and didn't pay attention to the lesson at all for the rest of the day.

__________________________(a day)
She sees north eating and talking to a bunch of his male friends (tropa) in a circle and decided to talk to them

"hey northie" "hey mar, want some?" north said motioning to the lumpia he was holding "oh, okay" martial took the lumpia from his hands "I don't have to pay you back, right?" north nodded and martial took a bite "oh, did you ever gave me back my pen?" north looks to the side "uh.. Just take that as a payment" martial chuckled while his friends laughed, the pen was almost empty anyways.
