"Pathetic"

(Night of the party)

You walked up to the driveway, the music was loud to the point where you could hear it from outside. A few people were chilling outside just talking with others.

"Invite and name?" Said the guy standing near the door. "Y-Y/n..and here's my invite.." You said handing the tall guy the envelope. He looks at his clipboard and nods. You entered and the music was blasting and people were dancing around.

"Y/n! You made it!" Oikawa says walking to you, "Yea..um..what do I do here..?" You ask following behind him. "Chat, chill and just have fun!" He says leading you to the living room, Maria was sitting between her friends chatting with a birthday crown on her head.

"Oh there you are baby! I miss you~!" She says getting up and giving kisses to Oikawa, "Oh hey Y/n, glad you could make it." She says giving you a small hug. "Here." You said handing her a small gift bag, "Ah thank you!!" She says adding it to the pile of gift bags.

"You got her another gift?" Oikawa asks, "It's just a small wallet, nothing much." You said going over to the snack table.

"Y/n, surprise to see you here."

You turn to see Iwaizumi walking towards you, "Oikawa wanted me to come, so here I am."You chuckled. "I can tell parties aren't your thing, they aren't mines either." He says leaning against the wall.

"I might leave, I've been just standing around for like an hour." You said shrugging your shoulders, "Really? It's only 12, you should stay here a little longer. It's the weekend after all." He says turning to you.

"I guess I will." You said giving a small smile.

Seconds later a crowd was forming near the living room, you and Iwaizumi went to see what was going on.

On the couch was Maria having a make out session with some other guy.

You turned to see Oikawa standing with the gift bag of the diamond ring in his hand. He throws the bag on the ground and walks out of the party, "Iwaizumi, go talk to him." You said turning to him. He nods and follows Oikawa, you went and grabbed the gift bag, luckily the ring was still inside.

You looked back at Maria, she gets up and you both meet eyes. "Pathetic." You said then walking to the door.

While walking  you felt someone grab your wrist, "Wait please!" You turn to see Maria. Quickly you got out of her grip, "What?" You coldly ask. "Please tell me Oikawa didn't see that.." She says looking down at her feet, you felt all eyes on the both of you.

"It was your fault, you decided to make that decision." You said then leaving, while walking out you heard her sob.

"Iwaizumi, did you talk to him?" You asked catching up, "Yea, he said to leave him alone for a little bit." Iwaizumi says turning to you.

You nod and looked at the bag in your hand.

"Is that Oikawa's gift to Maria?" Iwaizumi asks looking at bag, "Yea..I guess we have to return it now." You said looking at the ring.

"It's late, I'll walk you home." He says beginning to walk, you nod and followed.

(Monday)

You walked into class seeing Oikawa laying his head down.

"Morning." You said sitting down next to him, "Mm." He says facing away from you.

"I brought your fav, milk bread." You said shaking the bag, his head shot up and turned to you. "Thanks.." He says taking the bag, "You have the receipt from the ring?" You asked. He shook his head no, "I guess we'll just resell it." You sighed.

"I can't believe she did that..after everything.." He says aggressively munching on the milk bread, "None of it was your fault, she chose to make the decision." You said wiping the crumbs off the desk. "She had the audacity to show up to school hand in hand with him as well.." He says leaning back on his chair.

"Really? When I left she was crying, strange." You said taking our your supplies.

"Wait..I have an idea for revenge." He says sitting back up, "What is it?" You ask turning to him.

"Pretend to be my girlfriend."
