Faking Love (Oikawa x reader) Haikyuu!

"Wrong Decision?"

The match was tense. Everyone was on the edge of their seats, you crossed your fingers hoping, Aoba Johsai would win.

The ball hit the ground before anyone could receive it.

Karasuno, had won.

You looked over to them cheering and hugging each other, on the other hand. Oikawa and the team were in shock by what had happened.

He looks up and you can see the tears he was trying to hold back, you softly clapped and gave a warm smile.

You walked around the lobby trying to find Oikawa. Iwaizumi had said he went off somewhere and it was best you'd go looking for him.

"Should've came to Shiratorizawa."

You listened into the conversation and heard footsteps coming closer to you.

"Y/n?"

Shit...You turned to see Oikawa, "O-Oh..hey what was-"

"Do you think I made the wrong decision..?" He says setting his head down on your shoulder, you sighed and softly patted his head. "Not at all...you guys did amazing..I'm so proud." You said while running your fingers through his hair.

"Thank you..I really needed to hear that..." He says lifting his head up, "Anytime, plus I think you look better in blue and white." He laughs a little. "Really?" You nodded and he smiles holding your hand while walking back to the team.

"You sure ate a lot at the ramen shop.." You said walking into Oikawa's place. He nods and quietly walked to his room.

Flashback:

Iwaizumi: "Make sure to keep an eye on Oikawa. He may seem fine but I don't know what he's thinking. I'm sure our lost hit him pretty hard."

Back to present:

You followed him and he flops onto the bed. "Do you wanna use the shower first? I'm sure you feel icky after all of that." You chuckled sitting down at the edge of the bed. "Hmph mhm mph." His words were muffled and you ran your fingers through his hair.

"It's okay...let it out.." You softly said, he looks up with tears in his eyes. "Did..did I not practice enough? Was I too slow? Where...Where did I go wrong Y/n? Please.." He sits up and hugs you tightly.

"Please...tell me.."

You felt him sob into your shoulder, "Nowhere. You guys did wonderful, everyone tried their best. I'm very proud. They were a difficult opponent, that's all." He lifts up his head and looked into your eyes. "Tired...I'm so tired.." You chuckled, "Let's head to bed then okay? I'll always be here for you." He nods and lays down on the bed.

That night, he fell asleep in your arms.

(Morning)

"Tōru...you can't just stay in bed all day..at least eat something.." You said while knocking on his bedroom door. No response. You sighed and opened the door.

"Eat up. If you want, we can go watch Karasuno's match against Shiratorizawa." You said placing a bowl of miso soup on the nightstand. He groans and sits up from his bed. "Thanks..I guess we could..I have nothing better to do anyways." He says then taking a few sips of the soup.

"Yea yea. I'll be waiting then." You then headed out and to your separate room with all of your things.

(Timeskip to a few weeks later)

You walked around school feeling a bit lonely since the team had training camp and wouldn't be back until next week.

During lunch, you sat outside and got a notification. It was a voicemail from Oikawa. Feeling curious, you pressed play.

Oikawa: "Oooooohhh Y/nnnn! I love love love you so muchhhhhh! I miss that cute face of yours and everything about youuu! I wish I could call you every night but stupid Iwa-Chan said I had to sleep earlyyyy...but make sure you're eating and drinking lots of water!! I want you to stay healthy and- OW! IWA-CHAN! OKAY OKAY I'M COMING- I'M THE CAPTAIN YOU KNOW? WAIT DON'T HURT ME-"  *voicemail ends*

You laughed in disbelief and smiled to yourself.

Cute...

Who knew the boy from the rainy day would end up being your boyfriend? After those days of sadness and gloom, Oikawa was finally back to himself again. You looked up at the blue sky and felt your heart fill with happiness.

Cherry blossom petals fell from the trees and onto your hair. Finally, you were at ease.

(HUGE TIMESKIP but this is when everyone is starting/is in college, bare with me!)

"That's the last of it!" Oikawa says placing the last box into the moving van. "Too bad I only lived here for half of the year. I was just beginning to get comfortable." You sighed, he chuckles and ruffles your hair. "Well this is a new beginning for the both of us! And we'll be together through it all." You smiled and nodded.

"I'll go tell the mover to go ahead and take our boxes to the apartment. You can wait in the car until I'm back." He says before walking over to the movers.

"Finally...we arrived.." You groaned getting out of the car, "It was only a two hour drive. Let's bring what we can." You nodded and brought in the food first.

"It's so spacious! Not bad Tōru." You chuckled setting the food on the kitchen counter, "See? What can I say? Aren't I the best boyfriend~?" You rolled your eyes and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. "Agh! My heart! I just got kissed by an angel!" He says dramatically, "Shush. Movers are almost here, let's go." He nods and you both walk back to the moving van.

Wrote this at like...2am...so sorry if it has a lot of grammar issues-also..yes..I did make a big Timeskip. I guess this story is gonna end sooner then I thought heh.
