Later that night, I grabbed a rope, a knife, and a flashlight. I knotted the rope so that it would be easier form me to climb down, tossed it out the window, and began climbing. It was actually kinda fun! I've never exactly done something like this before, and I wish I have! As I touched the ground, I clicked on my flashlight, and headed off. Normally I would go to the lake by the castle but no, I was going to the woods again, that's why I had grabbed the sharp blade. Right before I walked into the woods, I grabbed my dagger, I wanted to be ready. Following the path, I thought, would be much smarter than just charging in there like last time, so I found a path and followed it. Walking through the woods was calming, I wouldn't have brought the flashlight, but while studying liches for a school project, I read that they are very sensitive to light, and that is how I could keep them away, but if I had to, I would resort to the knife. As I continued to stroll through the woods, I heard a siren go up, they had found that I had snuck out, great. Well, I can't turn back now, I just have to keep going deeper. Maybe they won't find me if I go deep enough? While on my stroll, I realized that I was being followed, by a friend of mine, that creep. Nonetheless I invited her to walk with me, we kept walking for some time but when we heard a bush shaking, she took off and abandoned me. However, I sat down against a tree, as I read in a book so I wouldn't get hit from behind, and got the flashlight ready, but when I saw those two blue eyes again I completely forgot about my flashlight and, with all of my strength, threw the knife at them. I heard a sharp shriek of pain and the two eyes disappeared.

Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow! Gosh darn it that hurt like hell! This random girl literally just hit me in the face with a knife. I probably shouldn't have shown that I was hurt but I can't help it, I'm only 18 after all. I carefully gripped the knife and gave it a large tug, and it came right out, nothing attached, that was good, but I heard a cry of terror coming from my left, and snapped my head towards the noise, it was the same girl who had hit me!

He pulled it out of his head. HE. PULLED. IT. OUT. OF. HIS. HEAD! Now he's looking at me, I should've ran, but nooooooooooo, of course I didn't! Our eyes met, and I could see something in his eyes that all of the books have told me that you would never in in a lich's eyes. Fear. He was scared, and I was scared, but why was I scared when I had the upper hand? The two of us just stared at each other, I was about to say something, when he started running and I was grabbed by guards and started getting dragged back to the palace.
