𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝 𝐏.𝐎.𝐕

It wasn't long after the incident that the guest started arriving. The first to arrive was Lee Know's favorite aunt [ on their father's side and only one in their father's side that would come ], Lee Yeonho, who engaged in multiple conversations with the twins about what they want to talk about rather than pressuring them on telling her about their school life and [ none existing ] love life. The second to arrive was Minho's least favorite uncle [ on their mother's side ], Hong Sanghoon, who would constantly compare the twins to each other or their cousins. More family members on their mother's side arrived and soon the house became full of life.

Lee Know sat by the living room window waiting for three specific people to show up [ Jisung, Changbin and Chan ]. Minho however was roped into many conversations with their relatives [ more specifically their aunts and uncles ]. Their younger cousins were running around the house and their elder cousins were in the kitchen finding what to eat [ none of their cousins were exactly the same age as them, all were at least four years older or younger than them ]. 

❝ Waiting for someone? ❞ Lee Know lifted his head from where it rested on the window sill. Yeonho sat down beside him on the floor.

❝ More like three someones. ❞ Yeonho smiled.

❝ Let me guess. . . one of those someones is Han Jisung. ❞ Lee Know nodded. Yeonho has never met [ and on that note has never seen ] Jisung but the twins always tell her about him every chance they get.

❝ I haven't seen Jisung for a while so I really want him to show up so we can spend time together. Plus my two friends, Changbin and Chan, are coming over and I want to introduce them to each other. ❞ Yeonho hummed.

❝ And if I may ask, why haven't you seen Jisung in a while? Aren't you best friends? ❞ Lee Know hummed.

❝ Of course! But. . . I want to be the best basketball player in all of South Korea. . . and in order to do that I have to practice all the time so I can't spend a lot of time with him. ❞ Yeonho frowned. 

❝ Lee Know. . . Sometimes we have to decide exactly what makes us the best at something. Winning does necessarily mean you are the best if you don't have people there who truly love and support you. Okay? ❞ Yeonho stood up. She smiled at Lee Know before leaving to the kitchen. Lee Know turned to look back out the window. His eyes lit up seeing the familiar fluff of brown hair. 

Lee Know jumped up and ran to the front door. He unlocked it and swung it open, allowing the door to hit the wall. Jisung stood frozen with his hand in a fist ready to knock on the door.

❝ Sungie! ❞ Lee Know pulled Jisung into a tight hug. Minho appeared from behind Lee Know. 

❝ Jisung. ❞ Jisung took a moment to process what was happening, but once he did, he quickly hugged Lee Know back and motioned for Minho to join their hug. The twins' relatives all turned to look at the group and began to whisper to each other. 

All three stepped away from the hug. It seemed they all inaudibly agreed to take a moment to examine each other. Jisung observed both twins very carefully. Minho was slightly taller than Lee Know, his eyes were also slightly more rounder than Lee Know's and his lips were curved slightly less upward than Lee Knows's. Lee Know's body also looked a bit more built than Minho's. 

Then came a difference in clothing. Lee Know was wearing darker colors [ a dark navy blue sweater and black jeans ]  than what Minho [ who was wearing a light pink sweater and light blue jeans ] was wearing. Jisung smiled softly. Lee Know had always expressed that he preferred to wear darker colors than lighter colors, while Minho never showed nor hinted at having a preference [ though he normally is a bit more cheerful when wearing light colors ].

As for Jisung, nothing really has changed besides his height and a slightly more matured aura. His eyes also held a hint of mischief rather than curiosity. His fashion sense hasn't changed either, as shown by what he was currently wearing [ light blue overalls and a white shirt underneath ].  

❝ Oh what's this, your little boyfriend finally arrived? ❞ All three turned around to look at the twins' cousin, Hong Byeol [ daughter of Hong Sanghoon ]. She was five years older than the twins [ seven years older than Jisung ] and was Minho's least favorite cousin [ Lee Know's least favorite cousin is Kim Jihoon, son of their mother's sister, and six years younger than the twins ]. 

Byeol was know for being the "failure" of the family, though their uncle Sanghoon argues other wise. At the age of twelve she got involved with alcohol and about two years later [ at the age of fourteen ] began to be sexually involved with her, now ex, boyfriend. However that isn't the reason Minho doesn't like her. The reason he doesn't like her is because two years ago she arrived at their house with a sob story about being dumped by her boyfriend, then by morning was gone, taking a large amount of money with her. A week after she was caught, she only offered a meaningless "sorry" and the family seemed to move on. 

❝ Not going to say anything, disgusting fa- ❞

❝ Is there a problem here? ❞ Mrs. Jang [ Han ] appeared holding two gift bags. Byeol smiled softly and bowed.

❝ Of course not! I'll be on my way. ❞ She then scurried off into the kitchen. 

❝ Aunt Jang, we are so happy you can make it. ❞ Minho bowed. Lee Know nodded in agreement and bowed as well. Mrs. Jang [ Han ] smiled and waved her hand.

❝ No need to thank me. I should be thanking you for inviting us. These are for you, congratulations on graduating. But remember things wouldn't be getting any easier, so try to stay strong! ❞ Lee Know hummed and took the bag that was being handed to him.

❝ Thank you. ❞ Minho took the bag and peeked inside. Jisung giggled when he saw Minho subconsciously pout when he was unable to see anything due to the tissue paper. Minho's cheeks turned a light shade of pink hearing Jisung giggle for the first time in years. 

❝ Our mom is in the dinner room with our aunts and uncles. ❞ Lee Know informed Mrs. Jang [ Han ]. 

❝ Ah thank you. Jisung make sure to not cause too much trouble. ❞ And like that she left. Lee Know smiled and took Jisung's hand.

❝ It's too loud in here but you know where it isn't? ❞ Jisung grinned.

❝ The treehouse! ❞ Lee Know nodded. Jisung reached out and took Minho's hand.

❝ Let's go! ❞
