The paper's ink dripped away, revealing a different note than the first one he had seen.
Good morning darling
I'm sorry it's the same
pancakes are what we have
eat up and go play the game
He frowned, not because of the note or the pancakes, but he felt ashamed that he had been upset with his mother about their food always being the same, he was glad to at least be able to eat something. He smiled and took up th pancakes, taking a bite out of one before he saw the paper turn black again and float away to another room that had been connected to the kitchen. He set down the plate of pancakes and walked to the next room.
He turned back a moment to see what was behind him but saw the room darkening like it had before, only that room though, the one he now stood in was the exact same. The lights dimmed until the room was pitch black. He stuck his hand in and felt a cold breeze. He tried to step back in the room but felt no place to put his foot down, as if the floor had disappeared. His eyes widened and he stepped back. He turned around, letting out a sigh.
