*2 Months later*
I woke up with phone ringing, I rolled over and looked at the time. Ugh it was 2am, this had better be good.
"Hello?", I aswered, barley awake.
"Allira! Jodie is in labour! We are at the hospital, come quick!", Len yelled down the phone and hung up.
It took a second to sink in and then I was on my feet in a flash, well as quick as I could. Once I was steady I threw my pillow at John who groaned. He rolled over and saw me standing up, looking worried. He was up in an instant.
"what's wrong? are you okay?", he asked frantically. I smiled at him.
"Yes I'm fine, Jodie is in labour we have to go!", I told him grabbing his hand.
We bolted down the stairs, again as quickly as I could and jumped in the car.
We arrived at the hospital in record time, in the back of my mind I wondered if I was to expect any speeding tickets in the mail.
"Jodie Alvaro?", John asked the receptionist.
She looked up the name on the compuer and said she was currently in the delivery room, and told us to go wait outside and we would be called in when it was okay.
As we turned the corridor we saw the Lenny being dressed in sterile clothes and just about to walk in.
I caught his eyes and mouthed 'goodluck'. He smiled back with a glint in his eyes. He was so happy but also worried. John put his hand over his heart, and yelled out "Goodluck Bro!".
Shortly after Len dissappeared, a little old lady came around the corner and told John to keep it down.
I giggled as she walked away. We sat in the hallway and waited.
I felt my little boy kicking so I quickly grabbed John's hand and put it on my belly.
He frowned at first but then he felt the kick and his face immediatley softened.
"I'm going to be a Dad soon", he said softly, like it had only just sunk in.
I put my head on his shoulder and smiled. As I glanced up I saw his eyes were all watery, I had definatley made the right choice about John.
"It's Len's turn today", I told him, with a smile.
"My little Bro is all grown up", he said jokingly. We both giggled for a bit.
A young doctor came out and told us we could come in.
We quickly stood up and walked into the room. Jodie was smiling down at the little bundle in her arms, she had tears running down her cheeks. We just watched quietly. Finally she handed the bundle to Len, who carefully cradled his new baby.
"Hello my son", Len said ever so quietly and warmly, "Harley Kai Ruela Pearce... I couldn't be prouder of my boy already". He was smiling so much. As he looked up at us, his eyes were filled with tears.
I walked over to Len and put my arms around his waist to give him a cuddle. As I looked over at the little bundle in Len's arms. It was the most handsome little baby boy, I'd ever seen.
The rest of the day continued with happy tears and cuddles. John walked up and hugged his brother, congratulating him.
"Your turn soon!", Len smiled at John. John walked over to me, and knelt down beside my belly.
"And I can't wait to meet my little man", John said, proudly. I looked down at him and just enjoyed the sight.
Eventually we let them rest, so we went home and went straight back to bed.
It had been a big day.
