As we arrived at school, I still had a nagging feeling that I was being followed but I decided to ignore the feeling and focus on school. Studying has never been my thing, but I was a decent student. My mother use to tell me that my brain just wasn't made to learn the same as others. I felt sadness tug at my heart, I felt it every time I thought of my mother. I knew somewhere in my heart she wasn't dead, but I was being to lose hope.

DING!

The first bell ringing is what pulled my attention back to the real world. I said my goodbyes to Will and Jeremy because we didn't have first period together. It made me feel uneasy, normally I was fine but with the strange feeling of someone following me I didn't want to be alone. However, I still headed down the hallway to my first period class, math first thing in the morning really sucks. Number were not my thing, but once you put me behind a camera I was in my element. My advance photograph class was my favorite, but it was still a few periods away. So, I forced myself to pay attention to the numbers and equations that my teacher was talking about, but nothing really entered my mind.

Staring out the widow was my only savior in this class until I saw him. A young man only a few inches talker then me. His dark tan made the teal blue color of his dyed hair stand out. He was wearing jeans and an army green jacket. The reason he stood out was because he was staring back at me. His dark brown eyes lock on to my bright blues eyes, once he noticed that our eyes meet, he walked away from the building. A few moments later he was gone, but I still felt as though someone was watching me.

The day dragged on, but lucky lunch was one time that I could see both of my best friends. My last class before lunch finally came to an end and I made my way to our usual spot in front of the cafeteria. As always, I am the second to arrive Will is already there wait for me.

"Hey V, how your day so far?" Will asked as he saw me. His smile was small but meaningful.

"Hey Will. It's fine except I saw someone staring at me." I replied my own smile forced and weak.

"That weird. Are you sure?" Will moved from where he was standing and wrapped an arm around me. This simple act was so comforting, and it made me feel a little better.

"Yeah I'm sure but I'm fine I promise." I said with a slightly brighter smile.

"Okay." Will said letting me go. I wish he would hug me a little longer. I would never admit to this, but I like him, and I have ever since we first meet. He had to be one of the densest boys in the world. I could swear my love for him had been oozing out of me at all time, but he has never noticed.

"Hey Vanessa, Will." Jeremy shout pulled my attention away from Will and to him. Jeremy smile was big enough to be seen from the moon. I had to admit I loved that smile it made me feel like everything was going to be ok. "Have you guys been waiting long?"

"No, we haven't." I said as the three of us started moving towards cafeteria.

Lunch and the rest of the day went by without another sighting of the strange boy. I'm starting to think that I imagine him. I thought back to this morning when I saw him staring at me. The more I thought about the I know that I saw him. There was something about him that made me know that I was right, I am being followed. Pushing that thought out of my head, I went to meet Will and Jeremy. We always walked home together; it only took me about five minutes to get to the front of the school were the boys were waiting for me. I quickly walked up to them then passed them prompting them to fallow me.

We started on our way home I walked in the middle of my two friends this helped me feel safe, neither of them would let harm come to me. And with this feeling of being followed right now I could use this feeling of comfort. Lost in my own thoughts the silver color of her hair caught my eye. She was on the taller side with curves in all the right places, she was beautiful. But what caught my eyes the most was her golden eyes, they shined like the sun. I was so focused on how she looked I didn't notice how close we got until I bump into.

"Oh sorry." I said stopping mid-step.

"Oh no problem. It's was my fault." She said with a bright smile looking closely at her face I noticed she had a star shaped birthmark on her forehead.

"Your beautiful." The words came out of my mouth before I could stop them.

"Thank you. Your beautiful as well. My name is Serenity." Said Serenity brushing hair from her face. She is no older than 25 but her energy gave off an air of grace and sophistication.

"Thanks. My name is Vanessa." I said as a flush hit my cheeks. But something about this woman felt familiar like I had know her my whole life.

"Hey V." Jeremy call from a few feet ahead of me where he and Will had stopped. I quickly looked at the two of them then back to Serenity.

"I have to go. But it was nice to meet you." I said has I began to head in the direction of my friends. "Bye."

"Goodbye." Serenity called out after me. Then the two of us went our separate way. I rejoined my two friends, but I could already tell that they wanted to ask me a million questions.

"Okay out with them." I said motioning with my arm in my direction.

"What are you talking about?" Asked Will trying to hide the concern in his voice.

"I know you both too well. I know you both want to say something." A silence fell on the three of us for a minute. Until Jeremy finally let out a sigh.

"Do you know her?" Jeremy asked finally saying what was on his mind.

"No but something about her feels familiar. It's like the wolf inside me knows her." I said looking down at my feet. I wanted to tell them the truth, but I couldn't, it wasn't my wolf that knew her, it was my dragon half. My Dragon was screaming at me, that they knew her, but I don't know how. Yes, I am a mix blood, But I keep my dragon half sealed for safety reasons. Which is why being followed unnerved me so.

"An unknown relative maybe?" Will offered as a possible answer.

"Maybe." I repeated back looking over my shoulder in the direction the woman went.

I was still thinking about Serenity when I got home. I could still picture her in my mind long silver-white hair and golden eyes. I walked in my front door and I closed it behind me.

"VANESSA!" I heard a voice that I knew all too well. A young girl with strawberry blonde hair pulled up in a ponytail came running at me. She ran headfirst into my chest wrapping me in a tight hug.

"Silvia, how are you?" I said as I returned her hug. Silvia Edwards was my 14-year-old cousin. She was 5'4 with pale green eyes and body of an athlete. She was a Gymnast that trained at a special school.

"I'm good. I get to spend the night." She said with a smile.

"Really? Are you sleeping in my room again?" I asked pulling myself away from her.

"Yes." She said finally letting me go. "Are Will and Jeremy coming over for dinner?" Silvia didn't seem to have may friends of her own, so she enjoyed hanging out with mine. I didn't mind Silvia was sweet and I loved having her around.

"Probably, they do most night." I said moving towards the stairs, the two of us continued to talk as we headed to my room. Once there I saw her backpack in the corner and the extra mattress laying next to my bed.

"I see you made yourself at home." I said pointing toward Silvia's stuff.

"Well, I don't like sharing a room with Sam. She is so mean to me." Silvia replied with a simply shrug of her shoulders.

I understood that. Sam has been cruel to me since she met me almost eight years ago but from what I saw she has been torturing Silvia even before that. Since tomorrow was Saturday, I had an idea.

"Hey Silvia, how about we invite the boys out for shopping?" I asked. Silvia's face lit up.

"Sure, sounds fun." She replied. "Can we look for new leotards?"

"Of course." I said.

The rest of the night went on like any other night. Sam was absent from dinner, but Will and Jeremy joined us. I asked them if they wanted to go shopping tomorrow with me and Silvia. Of course, they'd agree then procced to ask my dads if they could sleep in the living room. My dads said it was okay because they had done it in the past. After dinner we all went to our respected rooms and went to bed.

BANG! The sound of a door slamming open woke me up.
