tri (Taichi x Yamato)

chapter one: the fight

  Yamato's POV:
   "Did you guys watch the news? Did you hear the terrible things they were saying?" Inquired Mimi. I nodded, what they said had really ticked me off.
   "Yeah, I heard it. It was awful." Kari said.
    "Like all digimon are the same..." Said my brother.
    "Jerks..." I said gritting my teeth. "I'll have my dad file an official complaint."
   Joe butted in.
   "You know it's just all the media outlets trying to boost their ratings by sensationalizing everything." He said.
   "Still." Said tai, I looked over in his direction expectingly.
    "Some of what they said was true." He continued. He surprised me by saying that and all of us.
   "Well, I mean after all, a lot of the city and the airport were destroyed when Kuwagamon appeared." He explained.
  "Things are definitely out of control." Izzy said.
   "It's no wonder people are upset." Tai said. I started to get a little irritated.
   Mimi must've been too.
"Yeah but it would've been worse if our digimon hadn't fought them. A WHOLE lot worse." She said.
   "That's right but nobody knows that." Izzy agreed.
   I decided to speak up.
"Our digimon aren't the problem, but these news people keep saying they are. They're pissin me off!" I said voicing my concern.
Tai just hung his head and sighed.
I was very agitated at this point.
    "That's all you got?" I asked him.
    "C'mon, who's side are you on!?" I questioned when he didn't answer.
He still didn't say anything.
"We can't just sit back and do nothing, you heard what izzy said, there's a bunch of really bad things starting to happen all around us. We're the only ones who can do something about it." I said, the last part more so encouraging than angry.
  "Well yeah but-" he started.
Now I was really angry.
  "Yeah but what!? Have you forgotten everything we've done? How hard we all fought together to save the digital world and OUR world too!?"
  He finally had his full voice back now.
   "Of course I haven't forgotten!"
  "So what do we do now then, nothing?" I inquired. 
    He just sighed.
   "Okay then!" I huffed.
   I was shaking with anger. How could he just stand here and not do anything!?
   "WELL TAI?" I yelled.
   Sora stepped in. She could see it was escalating.
   "Calm down, that's enough Matt." She said calmly.
    "Yeah right." I said, finally starting to calm down, but I was still annoyed.
   "K, skip it Tai, if that's how your gonna be, then I don't know why we had this meeting in the first place."
   I heard izzy start to speak but Tai spoke  in my direction as I began to walk away.
   "C'mon Matt."
  Taichi Yagami...
Aggravating. But so much more.
Messy brown hair, coffee brown eyes.
Tall, light hearted.
Made me mad to my wits end, but still brought a smile to my face.
Someone I'd known since I was a child, he was there for me, and I was there for him. We'd been through thick and thin together.
Taichi...Tai.
The idiot my heart fell for.
