tri (Taichi x Yamato)

chapter four: alphamon

Taichi's POV:
    "TAI WERE GONNA NEED OMNIMON!!" Matt yelled running away from the blast, he ran to me but tripped and fell. Groaning as he hit the ground.
   I wanted to help. I wanted to fight. But I couldn't will my body to move.
   "Tai!?"
    "Cmon!!"
   The voices were drowned out.
    Suddenly I felt Matt put his arms around me.
   "Tai! Snap out of it!" He cried.
    "Cmon, we need you... I need you." He said, his voice getting quieter. Alphamon shot a blast our way, and I pulled Matt away with me to avoid being hit. We both toppled onto the ground.
   Garurumon was thrown into the wall. Agumon still tried to fight but was too weak in his rookie form.
   "No! Garurumon!" Matt shouted.
    I quickly got up, and I helped Matt up.
   We shared a moment looking directly into one another's eyes.
   I nodded. He nodded back, smiling.
   Agumon then digivolved to his champion form, Greymon.
   Matt and I's digimon continued to digivolve until the we're at their strongest. The two digimon Metalgarurumon, and Wargreymon fused to become one digimon.
   "OMNIMON!" The two said in unison.
    Omnimon was able to fend off Alphamon, but I knew he'd be back.
    Matt and I looked over to see our friends. And That girl Meiko.
   "I... h-have a digimon partner too.." said Meiko pulling out a matching digitize to the rest of ours. (Excluding TK and Kari, because they had newer models.)
   "Well your one of us digidestined kids then! Welcome to the group!"
   Meiko smiled at our friends kind words.
   Maybe this was turning in a positive direction.
   
   "Hey Tai..." Matt said from behind me. I had begun to walk home, Kari walking just ahead of me.
    "Uh... about earlier... thank you." He said.
   "Uhm, uh yeah sure." I said my mouth slightly opened.
   "Yeah, I'm just glad we were able to help Garurumon and Wargreymon digivolve to Omnimon, it we might've lost." He said.
   "Yeah... but we didn't right?" I said.
    "Right." He said smiling. Then turning around to meet TK.
    'Matt's interesting sometimes... I never know what he's thinking...' I thought.
