Yamato's POV:
I'd been asked to come meet with the other kids at Izzy's office. A part of me wanted to go. But the other part wasn't ready to see Tai again.
I was just making lunch when I got a call from my brother Takeru (TK).

*time skip to the Ferris wheel.*
Well this is awkward... of course this is something our friends would do.
Sitting across from me was a quiet, serious faced Tai. He wouldn't look me in the eye, his shoes must've been pretty interesting.
Mimi had compared us two, to an old married couple. Which of course made me blush harshly. I didn't want Tai to find out about my feelings for him because I was almost sure he didn't feel the same.
   "Listen..." I started.
    "Hm?" He grunted.
"Sorry about the other day, I didn't mean to get so ticked off. But the truth is you need to get your act together." I explained.
"Because it's only a matter of time before more infected digimon show up." I said. He remained silent, still staring at the floor.
"What's going on in your head? This isn't like you...Tai." I said softer than before.
"I'm not what I was Matt..." I he said gripping the edge of his shorts with his fingertips. His knuckles going white.
   "Tai?" I said.
He began to sniffle. His breathing became slow and was replaced with sobs.
"Matt, I-I've changed... I'm not the same goofy kid I was who used to run to a fight. Now I'm r-running away...I just don't know what happened..." he covered his face with his arms and propped them up onto his knees.
I didn't know what to do at first. I slowly shifted over to the other side of the part of the Ferris wheel we were in.
I placed my arms around his shoulders, pulling him closer to me. He fell into my embrace placing his arms tightly around my back.
"Tai...I know, your stressed... you may not be the same person you used to be... but I still believe in you. I always will no matter what happens." I reassured him.
"Just like you believed in me a long time ago..." I said reminiscing the past.
I had arrived late to the fight with piedmon and Tai has gotten hurt. I had held him in my arms, and cried. I told him how much our friendship meant to me. I think that was when I started to realize my feelings for him...
"Yeah, th-thanks Matty." He said, his head in my shoulder. This nickname caused me to blush, luckily he couldn't see.
"Of course Tai..." I said comfortingly.
I placed my hand on the back of his head and ran my fingers through his hair.
"I'll try... Oh wait I forgot why we were up here!" He said pulling away from me. My arms lingered hoping he wouldn't notice I quickly drew them to my sides. He looked at me for a second. I looked away, my cheeks burning a light red.
"I-uh, well my goggles, that Izzy gave me. They can see distortions." He said trying to get back to his focus again.
He put the goggles on and looked out the window.
"Woah!" He shouted, making me jump slightly.
"There's a huge distortion over there!" He said pointing to the sky, I couldn't see what he was talking about it, but I knew it must've been bad.
Once we were off the Ferris wheel, we started running towards wherever Tai had seen the huge distortion. With our friends following close behind.
