*3rd pov*

Zelda remembered her lessons about her people. One of her greatest strengths is her intellect after all. Right now one lesson on the nature of elves throbbed in her mind.

Elves are a emotional race. Easily led by them. A happy elf can spread joy to even the most black hearted of villains if given the chance, for example. As the elf gets stronger, their connection to nature allows their emotions to effect the very weather.

Yet for all her lessons into the nature of her people, her first hand knowledge of his ancestor, this darkness was new to her. As Ken slaughtered the paladins, exorcists, and priests even his skin was darkening...

???: Isn't it obvious princess? You see the boy as Link, the hero of Hyrule. The guardian of the triforce. The slayer of evil. For as wise as you should be, you really are quite stupid.

Zelda turned quickly only to see Irina smirking at the sight of the battle, seemingly eager to join in. Only her eyes were pure red and the shadows clung to her. Zelda tensed, recognizing the power she was excluding.

Irina: *Scoff* Calm down failure, the girl just passed out. I'm still contained.

Irina grinned smugly.

Irina: As I said, Ken is not Link. He may be his reincarnation, but they are two different people, with different life experiences. Link was a sheltered but happy boy growing up. When he reached his destiny, you could say he was the embodiment of what's good in the elven people. Ken is not like that. Even limited as I am, I can see his past. A foreigner in a country that looks down on others, with a brother whose disgusting nature gets transposed to him... An orphan who knows he's different and is all alone... Let me put it to you simply. That's darkness.

Zelda flinched and looked as Ken finished off the last of the riders by decapitation and then slaughtered his horse. He the slowly walked towards the leader and his two bodyguards.

Irina: Darkness lurks within the emotions we try to ignore. Anger, sadness, jealousy, envy, fear, hatred. Orphans are especially vulnerable. Now take an elf, abuse him throughout his life, make him feel truly alone, then trigger a extremely traumatic event. Oh great and wise princess, what do you think will happen? Ooh look! He's making friends!!

One of the bodyguards charged Ken attempting to run him through with a longsword. Ken backhanded the blade away and stabbed the master sword through his foot, pinning him to the ground. The man screamed out in agony as Ken left him there trying and failing to free himself. The other faltered until Ken walked right up to him. The guy attempted to bisect him with an overhead swing but before he could start, Ken slammed the edge of his shield into his neck, crushing his wind pipe. As he fell to the ground, his face changing colors as he struggled in vain to get air, Ken curb stomped his head into paste. Ken then met eyes with the still masked leader and created a senjutsu fireball. Tossing it behind him onto the first one, setting him ablaze.

Irina: You always seem to blame me for all the darkness. The person playing with Ganon's strings. The source of evil and darkness. Fool. Ganondorf wasn't my doing. He was a lone warlock using my power to bring back his dead family YOUR goddess got killed. She spoke "darkness is coming from Arcadia village" and the first thing you idiot royals do is burn everything and everyone there. He used my power, yes, but so could anyone. You assume I control who uses the darkness, I'm just the manifestation of it. That is what a God is, girl. A divine manifestation of nature given sentience and corporeal form. I can no more control who uses darkness than Poseidon can control who swims in his ocean.

She then scowled.

Irina: And yet I'm always blamed for idiots getting drunk on power. I was sealed away then another jackass God twisted my prison to give his dumbass human followers more power. So no Zelda, Ken isn't under my influence. He is killing those sheep all on his own. Quite well if I do say so myself, Link never really could express dominance like Ken is. Always clinging to the heroic light and good, even when he's waist deep in blood and gore... Such a bore.

Zelda: Can't you fix this?!

Irina: Oh don't worry, he will probably stop after he gets it all out of his system. These buildings aren't important are they? What about these people? Grab some snacks and enjoy the bloodshed princess. I plan to, I don't get out much anymore, and while I would prefer my own body, this one works as well.

???: So this is the disturbance I felt.

Irina: my, my, if it isn't the deadpan dragon loli goddess herself. I'd offer you a beer, but the whole end of the world thing makes that a rare commodity. Here to watch an elf slaughter a bunch of human zealots? It's a fun time killed I assure you!

Ophis: ...Must you always be so crass, Nyx? Your a goddess, not a delinquent teenager.

Irina (Nyx) smirked. Then Irina passed out and a new figure appeared in mist.

Nyx: You need to lighten up Ophi. How do you like my new form? Spent so much time in Ganon that my form mimicked his, took all my concentration to keep myself a chick. Sucks but this isn't bad I guess.

Ophis sighed and rubbed her temples.

Ophis: You, my friend, are the single most annoying divine being I've ever met. So who's the elf bashing that guys head into the cross?

Ken, after dodging a clumsy swipe from the pope grasped him by his skull and repeatedly slammed him head first into the golden cross. The man's screams were muffled by him choosing on blood. Cracks started to spread as Ken started using senjutsu to strengthen his blows. The structure creaked.

Nyx chuckled darkly.

Nyx: Ophi, be a dear and transport us, the elf, and the other non-mindfucked girls in this city away. That cross is gonna fall, and I don't want a first hand experience seeing that. Imagine. Getting rubble in my currently incorporial hair! Why you might even call it a sin!

As Nyx laughed out loud at her own joke, Ophis sighed and started teleporting everyone away. As the pope's broken body slid down, his last sight was seeing the Grand Cross, he spent years building in the name of God, fall on the Sistine chapel destroying it.

(A/n first happy Halloween. Second, no it wasn't a typo when Nyx called Ophis, Ophi. I'm trying to bring a casual tomboy vibe with her. I was going to go the Fem Ganondorf route but writing it out didn't make sense to me. So I messed with the lore and made Nyx. Felt it appropriate and plausible. Hylia the goddess of light, Nyx the goddess of darkness.)
