Chapter 16

I wake up and rub my eyes.  I yawn as last night's dream enters my thoughts.

"Nii-San..."

I sluggishly crawl out of bed and begin my daily morning routine.

Standing at the gates, waiting for the countdown to reach 0.

"BEGIN!"

We rush through the thick vegetation, finding our way deeper into dark murkiness.

We must find an Earth scroll.

We have to pass this exam.

I hold my scroll forward. Offering it in exchange for a truce against the man of our nightmares.

He hissed like the snake he was and reached out for the scroll.

A flash of orange knocked the scroll out of my hand.

"SASUKE TEME! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!"

I bite my lip as an attempt to hold in my scream as the snake-like man sinks his teeth into my neck. The pain eventually subsided as my consciousness slipt away.

I open my eyes. I felt an unknown source of energy surge throughout my body. I stand up and walk outside of this sheltering tree.

I see pinky getting beat up by the sound ninja.

Time to test my newfound strength.

I smirk as I charge towards them.

I effortlessly toss the ninja beating pinky. He ungracefully flies across the ground and hit the tree with a satisfying thud.

"You're Sasuke Uchiha huh"

I charge towards him, sending him a hard punch to his stomach.

He coughs out and clutches his stomach. He backs away and pulls out three kunai.

I run full throttle at him. I dodge the three well-aimed kunai and send him flying headfirst into a tree, on top of his teammate.

He gets up and growls.

"...I won't ...go easy...on you..."

He said between raspy breaths.

The female from their team comes running behind me.

I saw past this thanks to my Sharingan.

Without turning around, I step to the side and grab her outstretched arm.

I flip her over and pin her to the ground.

She coughs out blood.

I forgot. Females are fragile.

I swing her from the arm I held her down by and toss her at a tree.
