It's been a week passed since I became homeless because of what Collins did in my apartment last Saturday. We partied hard the night prior to that, because hello? TGIF. And he ended up crashing into my place and banged someone in my kitchen that I have no clue about since I'm drunk that night and dead to the world.
The very next day the land owner knocked on my door asking me to explain myself about the CCTV footage of a naked guy strutting outside my door. And since, I was definitely drunk and clueless about what Collins did. My landlord officially whisked me out of the building, I didn't know what else to say! I told him about Collins unacceptable behavior and my bff was there to back me up but my
landlord didn't bother to buy my statements this time. This was the second time Collins did that by the way, so I guess I won't be surprised that my landlord finally kicked me out. But it's still so embarrassing thinking about getting kicked out from your own apartment because of some stupid accident you didn't commit.
No, that wasn't even an accident for heaven's sake!
Honestly, if Collins isn't my beloved bff since freshmen year in college I'd probably have murdered him to his sleep.
Now look at me?
Homeless.
From work, I arrived in the hotel room I have been staying for in the past few days and passed out in the mattress. Yeah, right! How bougie of me, but no. I didn't pay for my entire stay here, Collins did.
He was so sorry for me and felt guilty for what he did and since he knows I don't like staying on his own place. He suggested on letting me stay on a hotel for one week while I look for a new apartment.Speaking of new apartment, I groaned by the thought of it. I still can't find one, every apartment buildings near to Wagner Law Firm are all occupied. I saw one in midtown but it's literally thirty minutes away from my workplace and it's way too expensive. I can't afford that, my job as a paralegal pays me fine but I won't invest on renting an expensive apartment either.
I released a loud groan again thinking that I'm about to check-out tomorrow.
Damn it! I guess I have to extend my stay here until Sunday. Guess I'll be spending my whole weekend walking down the streets of the city looking for a new place.
Shit! I hate just thinking about it.
I decided to get up from the bed and take a hot shower to release all my stress, longer than thirty minutes later I went out of the shower just in time my phone beeps, and a text from my cousin Tori pops on the screen.
Tori: u busy? Give me a call. Need to talk 2 u.
Without any second, I dialed her number and put her on loud speaker while I strip myself and grab a pair of PJ's on one of my luggages on the floor.
She answered within three rings.
"Hi Jade! I have been dying to talk to you." Tori's voice echoed on the whole room.
"Hey." I greeted back.
"Am I on speaker somewhere?"
"Yeah, sorry. I am currently changing." I replied. "What's up?"
"Your mom called me this morning and she told me that you got kicked out from your apartment."
