It's Complicated [Spencer x reader]

Pt. 1 - The Case

"Ding!" The elevator opens as Y/N quickly enters since she is running late for work, which is at the BAU. She was wearing black cargo pants and grey tight fitted t shirt and a black trench coat with some black boots. She also managed to put some makeup on, which was concealer, mascara, eyeliner, blush, and some bronzer. Then she rushed upstairs with her (Y/C/H) bouncing.

"Hey I'm so sorry, crazy traffic.", Y/N said

Hotch just nodded and said, "We'll brief over on the plane again don't worry."

Spencer just smiled at her awkwardly not knowing if he should say good morning or just nothing.

Morgan and Emily looked at each other and then at Y/N, smirking.

"Must've been a pretty nice lookin dude huh Y/N.", said Morgan quietly but loud enough for Spencer and Rossi to hear.

Rossi just chuckled, But Spencer shot his head towards Y/N to see what she would say. Y/N was in shock for a split second and Emily noticed, causing her to smirk.

"Yeah Morgan and he was even better looking than you.", said Y/N sarcastically.

Reid wasn't able to pick up on her sarcasm so he furrowed his eyebrows and then tried to listen to what Garcia was saying. Back on the plane Garcia was explaining the case again.

"So my friends, three women from ages 22 to 25 were found dead at three different places, drowned in different places of the Everglades, which guys... it's huge."

" Yeah the Everglades is 4.992 million acres", stated Reid.

As Garcia was speaking Y/N and the rest of the team opened the case files. Y/N was looking at the victims.

"They all have the same color hair and eyes...", said Y/N

"Yeah it looks like this unsub has a specific M.O", Said Spencer while still looking at the file.

While Y/N was looking at the location of the case she saw no there than Miami, Florida. She must've not heard where the cases were that morning since she was late.

Y/N was starting to get worried, she didn't want the team to know how she was when she lived in Miami. She wasn't terrible but there were definitely things she would rather keep secret to the team.

Morgan cut off Y/N's train of thought, "Hey Y/N didn't you grow up in Miami?"

"Um yea, yea I did", Y/N broke out of her trance

"That would definitely help us with getting around Miami, right Hotch?", Morgan said and then looked at Hotch for approval.

"Yes that would help, Y/N?" Hotch asked Y/N

"Yeah I can help with that don't worry" said Y/N calmly.

Hotch then started saying what everyone would be doing when we landed.

"Ok so Morgan and Emily go to the dumpsites and see what you can find"

"JJ you go talk to the families and see how else they could be connected other than the M.O"

JJ nodded in agreement

"Reid you can work on the geographical profile at the station, oh and Y/N can help you since she knows the area."

Reid looked over at Y/N and slightly blushed, they were good friends but his awkwardness would get in the way most of the time.

Y/N looked back at Reid and gave him a playful wink. This caused him to blush even more, although he knew she was just being her playful and sarcastic self.
