Y/n's pov:
The whole day went by. I kept on ignoring Jace. Not bothering him at all. I was on my way back home when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I turned to look who it was. "Oh hello Mr. Smith." It was my dance teacher. He passed a smile. "Y/n I need a favor. I hope you can do it." I gave a nervous smile and nodded. "I will try my best." He hummed then took a deep breath before speaking. "I want you to give extra dance classes to Mark." My eyes widened.
I would never be around that dork and now I have to teach him how to dance! Ugh this day just got worst. "Sir with all due respect, he is not the type of guy who would be serious about anything. He will just waste my time." He nodded. "I agree. But you are my best student and I don't have a choice. Just for a few days because then you all have finals." I let out a sigh. "Okay. I will do it." His smile widened. "Thank you so much! Start the classes by tomorrow after college." I nodded and he waved be goodbye.
Stomping my feet loudly, I noticed I was near my head. Few more heavily steps and I was opening the door. Keeping my shoes aside I stepped inside the house. "Hey! How was your day?" Mom came from the kitchen with a huge smile on her face. "Ugh don't ask mom!!!" I threw myself on the couch and saw her sit down next to me. "What happened?" She stroked my hair. "I have to give dance classes to Mark." She laughed. "What's funny?" I sat up straight.
"Nothing at all. Just weird that the guy you hate the most will be your student now." I groaned. "That's the HORRIBLE part!" I buried my head in my hands. "Don't worry. I am sure he won't be that bad." I know she was trying to cheer me up. "Thanks mom but that idiot is hopeless." She chuckled. I got up and went to my room.
After taking a shower, I went downstairs to get something to eat. I saw Jace walk in and quickly go upstairs. My saw my mom's smile fade away as she greeted him but he didn't reply back. It broke my heart to see her trying to win his heart. But he was not ready to give a small chance to her. I don't care if he won't give me a chance but she deserves one.
"Mom why do you even try?" I grabbed an apple and started cutting it while my mom was baking cookies. "I have to. I don't want him to think I don't care about him." She gave a weak smile. "But it's no use. He doesn't even see it at all." I heard her sigh. "I still have to." She placed the cookies in the oven.
Jace's pov:
As I got home I quickly went in my room. I heard
y/n's mom greet me but I didn't reply. She is the one who tried to steal my mom's place. I glanced at y/n as I was going to my room. Not caring about that either I just closed my door and threw my bag on the bed and went to take a shower."Dinner is ready!!" I heart y/n's mom yell. I was playing video games. I rolled my eyes and sighed. "How long do I have to deal with them?" Rubbing my temples, I got up as I threw my controller on the bed.
I saw y/n already in the kitchen, helping her mom. While my dad was sitting on the table, using his phone. I saw my dad smile at y/n as she placed the food on the table in front of him. "Jace are you just gonna stand there? Come on!" Y/n cheered. I sat down. "God this smells so good!" Dad spoke. And soon we all started eating.
"Did you make this?" Dad asked y/n and she nodded happily. "It's amazing!!" She giggled. "Y/n is a great chef." Her mom added. "Jace is great too. I loved his pasta he made last time." He tried to hype me up. I just gave a quick smile to him and kept on eating. "That's really cool! Your mom taught you well." I stopped eating as y/n's mom said that. "Thank you.."
My low voice came out. She smiled. "She sure did! You taught y/n as well right?"Y/n's mom shook her head. "I didn't do much. I use to busy with work so her dad did." I saw y/n give a weak smile. "You did too mom." She said in a whisper. "Oh and I have an announcement... I have an official trip coming next week and I'll be taking your mom with me. I hope that is okay?" Dad looked at y/n. "Of course. Who am I to stop a couple?" She laughed and my dad did the same. "It won't take too long. But we will update you when we will get back." Y/n's mom spoke. Y/n on the other hand just nodded.
Great! I'll have to spent alone time with her! As I was finished with my dinner I got up and went back upstairs.
Y/n's pov:
Ugh! I can't believe I have to spent alone time with that jerk. Shoving a pillow on my face, I screamed. I need fresh air. I got up and went downstairs to the backyard. The summer breeze was so refreshing. I stretched my arms and legs and started looking around until I felt like dancing. I played some songs in my AirPods and started dancing. Everytime I dance I get sucked into another world. My own world where it's all peaceful. I danced with my eyes closed. Until I heard someone clap, making me stop.
"So this is my amazing dance teacher?" I rolled my eyes as I saw Mark standing there."What are you doing here?" I turned the music off. "Woah calm down baby. I was just going home and saw you dancing here." I crossed my arms over my chest. "So are you done? Now leave." I heard him chuckle. "Why are you always so rude?" He came closer making me move back. "I'm not the only one. You are the one who annoys me." I looked away while rolling my eyes.
"Not always. You are rude to me even when I say something that should not annoying." His eyes were soft but I was not falling for that. "Can you be nice to me even for once?" His pleading eyes were staring right at me. "Stop being weird." I didn't know what to say so that's all that came out of me.
"Look I was here to make things better between us. You will be my dance teacher soon so I wouldn't want things all awkward and weird between us." I was definitely taken aback. "Fine then." I held out my hand with a smile on my face. It was never a bad thing to not give it a try. Although I feel like he is upto something.
"Thanks." He smiled and shook my hand. "I'll see you after college tomorrow." He smiled and then left. Why do I feel so weird? Snap out of it!! He is just a playboy!
Jace's pov:
I was in the living room when I saw y/n dancing out in the backyard. I have to say her body moves like water. I kept on watching her dance until I saw Mark staring at her, more like checking her out as she was in her night pajamas. Black shorts and a sweat shirt. Her curves were prominent. They both had a talk for a while but I couldn't here a thing. I saw them shake hands. Are they friends now? Didn't she hated him like this morning?
Ah whatever. I went back inside my room and laid in my bed. "Why am I only thinking about her?!" I scolded myself. "Just sleep." With that I closed my eyes.
