i woke in complete darkness, the unerving silence disquieted me. i did the most stupid thing ever and shouted ,"Is anyone there?"
i held my breath and waited for the answering shout and drugging that would surely follow. surprisingly, nothing replied except for the daunting echo of my own voice.
Then my brain starting working again and i was able to realise what we wee doing here-or rather lack of realising what i was doing there. my eyes grew accustomed to the grey dark, and i could make out the figure of Fire tied up next to me. i automatically looked down at myself realised that i was also tied up-like the idiot i was, i hadn't noticed at all. Fire jerked awake, mumbling profanities under his breath.
"Hurry up," i hissed'"We need to get out of here!"
He grinned and said ,"i have something up my sleeve for that, literally"
why, when he wakes up tied and bound jn the middle of the dark does he not freak out!! so unfair😡
He turned his wrist to the side, so i could see the shiny, jagged edge of a saw and started to cut the ropes tying him up, the little metal edged saw cutting the bonds. it was hours until he finished and i told him so.
"Huh?" he looked surprised,"its only been half an hour"
"Oh" i felt a bit stupid but said defensively ," it felt like hours, you were taking so long!"
"Yeah, yeah" he began on my bonds, and shockingly, it only took a few minutes.😅
once we were free, i crawled along on my hands and knees, shuddering to think of what might be there;coachroaches, slugs or RATS(my biggest fear) i know, im a wimp!😢i felt along narrow, short walls, and about five square cardboard boxes stacked against each other. we were probably in a largish box room, used for storing merchandise.
"We are so much more valuable than any merchandise!" Fire said indignantly.
Honestly does he think we are honoured guests in a hotel or something?
"they obviously didn't think so," i remarked dryly.
"Who's they?" Fire asked - the first thing he had said that was actually useful.
i didn't know how to answer...
then i founf something we saved me having to say anything.
then i found what i had been feeling for all along, a bared metal grid - an air vent!
