Sugawara's heart soared.
His gym shoes squeaked against the floor as he rushed towards her. He quickly hugged her and planted soft kisses on her face he rushed into the gym and grabbed his bag grinning wide.
Why wouldn't he treat her the same?
The tall girl looked down at Akari and smirked while mouthing the words 'I win.' Sugawara attached himself to her arm and they walked put together, he was smiling happily.
Why does it have to be like this?
"Kari-chan? We didn't know about this, I promise." Nishinoya spoke up.
She stared blankly at the door, her chest ached more than before.
She had lost Sugawara to her bully. He confessed to her!?
She was angry, and hurt. He knew all about her bully and what she had done to her. She felt betrayed. Her heart shattered once more. She couldn't even cry. She tried so hard.
The team kept quiet and just watched her. Daichi stepped forward.
"Are you o-"
"I'm fine. I don't know what I expected, Dai-san." She whispered cutting the captain off.
She felt numb and she couldn't stop the feeling. Her world had officially split down the middle. She smiled at the group of boys ignoring the hurt although her chest was numb.
"Why wouldn't I be okay? It isn't like I loved him or anything! I wasn't always his shoulder when he got rejected! I didn't confess to him over and over or anything! I didn't drop everything for him whenever he called me! I did everything for him and he never was there for me! Nope! I just wasted 2 years chasing him and all I have is a broken heart to show for it! I'm tired of trying and I'm tired of having a broken heart and I'm tired of him coming to me about other girls! I spent so many nights crying over him and comforting him! I stayed up having sleepless nights just so he could complain! He done nothing for me! He never comforted me and he's never seen me cry!" She screamed still smiling, it only came out in her quiet voice, but there could hear the angry in every word.
She ripped off her gloves and threw them at the floor. She tore the necklace he had got her for her birthday and tossed it in the bin. The team was shocked.
She's never lost her cool before.
Her tiny body was shaking, no tears were coming out. She pointed her finger to the door.
"I lost to that bitch that beat and bullied me for 5 years! I lost him to that nasty bitch who made my life hell! She's so gorgeous and it isn't fair!" Her body fell to the ground.
Daichi and Tanaka rushed and caught her, careful not to grip her too hard otherwise she'd bruise. They knew her body couldn't handle anymore emotional stress, it wasn't healthy for her.
"What did I do to deserve this?" She whispered to herself.
Asahi, Nishinoya, Hinata, Kageyama, Yamaguchi and Tsukishima all circled around the girl.
They were all worried since they'd never seen her like this, nobody knew what to do. Daichi told them to go and clean up the gym.
Once they were done, they finished practise early and all head for Akari's apartment. She let them drag her along home with no protests. Daichi placed her on the couch and the team disappeared around her apartment. Yamaguchi moved the coffee table to the side while Tanaka brought in her double mattress from her room, Daichi brought the double mattress from the guest room while Hinata and Kageyama dragged in four single mattresses that were kept in a storage room. Asahi and Nishinoya brought in every available blanket and pillow while Tsukishima gathered movies and a lot of food. Since it was only 4:30 Daichi and Asahi went to everyone's houses and gathered their sleepwear and also stopped into their coaches store and got pork buns for tea and cake for desert. Akari sat on the couch in silence and ignored the 6 boys that were trying to entertain her. They gave up and just made all the beds and tucked her into a blanket. Her heart melted when she realized that they were trying to help her.
